    I don't see a market for this.

Who is this devoted to 20th Century Fox? This just feels like bombastic crowing to me. Every one of these movies are available separately too.

This would probably make more sense and be more successful with sales, because it would be more affordable for interested buyers, if it was broken down into special genre sets.

For instance, a box set of 20th Century Fox's Greatest Science Fiction Films, including:
    • The Day the Earth Stood Still
    • Fantastic Voyage
    • Planet of The Apes
    • Star Wars
    • Alien
    • Cocoon
    • Independence Day
    • X-Men
    • Minority Report
    • Avatar
As well as Predator and David Cronenberg's The Fly remake (both of which should have been included in that original set, too), to make it an even dozen.

This would have been more intriguing to consumers and fans specifically of the sci-fi genre, like myself, and then they could have probably followed up with box sets for other genres such as romance, action, comedy, etc.

Cavalcade is apparently the only new-to-DVD film in the bunch. Shame that Fox couldn't market a Best Picture winner independently of this monstrosity.

Maybe the people who have to own and document every home video release of Star Wars will buy it.

Somehow I think Fox might be doing another one, considering that both Home Alone and X-Men are in there, but none of their sequels.

And I'm assuming that the Miracle On 34th Street is the 1947 version? Or is it the 1959 version that only popped up in the Library of Congress a few years ago?

Shoot. It's a really good deal, honestly. Comes out to less than $7 a DVD even at suggested retail price, and it'll probably be down to less than $6 when it actually goes on sale.

I'd rather it have been Blu-Ray, though.

And this isn't something they're going to press millions of and slap on the shelves at Wal-Mart. This is a specialty collector's item meant to celebrate an anniversary. It'll probably be available in a very limited quantity, might even become a collector's item.
    And stay out of Riverdale!

Perhaps if it was half that price. That would be around $4 a movie. $8 a movie is just too much money when you put it all together. And not all of them are in color, or even HQ/HD

At the blowout.com price quoted above it comes to $4.36 a film.

Also, I'm really surprised that one of your complaints is that not all of them are in color. C'mon, the days of Turnerizing everything are over, right?
    And stay out of Riverdale!
