It's being released already!?
Holy crap that was fast. The Star Wars specials have been my favorite part of the series for a while (that and the "Road to..." episodes) and I'm glad they announced a date for it already. Will be getting.
This is the talkback thread for "Family Guy: It's a Trap" Coming to DVD and Blu-ray on December 21, 2010.
Even though I don't watch new episodes of Family Guy anymore, I'll be getting this. The Star Wars specials have been quite enjoyable, and I'm sure this will keep up the fun.

"It's a Trap"? Really? I kind of prefered "We Have a Bad Feeling About This" as the title...
Oh well, I'm still getting it anyways. Just that "It's a Trap" is a bit awkward of a title.

Blue Harvest didn't air in 2005, did it? The article says it did, but I don't remember it being that long ago, especially since the show had barely come back on the air at that point.

Yes, there are amazing things up there in the universe, but they’ve got some very stiff competition down here on Earth!

Just watched this earlier, pretty good ending for their trilogy. They did keep the running gag of Chris vs. Peter at the end, and this one definitely tops it as they all get in on it.
Just got this today. I thought it was hilarious. I liked the jabs at the voice actors, though I was disappointed that there was no chicken fight (and instead we got a Twitty gag).

POKEMON PUZZLE LEAGUE! You know you want to read my review.
I actually thought it was the weakest of the three FG Star Wars specials, which is funny since Jedi is also the weakest of the three SW films. They even acknowledged this a couple times ("Let's just get through this...").
The best bits were the Seth Green and Seth MacFarlane jabs. The former made sense for giving Chris/Luke a reason to want to come out of his hiding place to attack Stewie/Vader.
Other stuff I laughed at:
-R2/D2 jumping rope, complete with "Help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope" to the beat of the rhyme
-Carter/Emperor telling the terminally ill kid to come back in a year when the Death Star is finished. Ooooh, that came out wrong...
-Death Stab T-shirt
-A Storm Trooper removing his helmet
Everyone nodding to each other went on too long, but I liked the "Well? We're WAITING." Caddyshack clip at the end of it.
TBH, I felt that Something ^3 Darkside was the weakest of the three. Not like I think Its a Trap was that much better but the fact that it acknowledged that it was possibly churning out a piece of crap made the special a lot funnier then if it hadn't otherwise. Since it was taking itself even less serious then Something ^3, it pushes itself behind Blue Harvest in the Star Wars parody latter. The battle of the Seths was hilarious, and the usual Chris vs Peter was a great final sendoff.
Btw, watching Carter play the emperor was a real treat. He was hilarious in every scene he was in.
