So, what's everyone gonna get this week?

As for me, I just picked up Futurama: Bender's Game and this Friday I plan on getting Get Smart: Complete Series. I would've saved it for Christmas, but it's on sale at Best Buy for $110 this week only. So, I may as well go for it so I can save $100 of upcoming Christmas money.

I thought about getting Shrek the Halls, but I don't know if Best Buy's offer of the DVD with a stuffed toy is worth spending $15 bucks.

Picked up Bender's Game on blu-ray today.

"Hancock" just came out to DVD in Hong Kong. Bluray version is coming this Friday. While I'm tempted to grab the Region 3 edition, I think I'd be more inclined to grab the bluray now that I've just got my first HDTV.

By the way, here's some pics for people who want to check out the packaging on the Hong Kong DVD release of "Hancock".

Eh, just renting Bender's Game for now. Maybe if I like it more than I did the previous two films, I might actually go out and buy it.

Well, I know what I'm NOT getting. Hit Entertainment really "pulled the rug out from under" anyone and everyone who had been getting the standalone Fraggle Rock DVDs (and all because Hit wanted to focuses on celebrating FR's 25th anniversary). Essentialy, they are forcing people to buy the complete series set (which costs something like $115 at Best Buy) in order to get the 4th (and final) season. I will only buy a separate 4th season set, and I hope they will release it eventually.

Might that be like hoping that the final four individual season sets of Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist after the second season come out? (That had six seasons total.) If not, don't mind me. That's the only other show I can think of that this happened to, as far as DVD sets go.

Well, Will Smith is pretty popular in Hong Kong so I am sure that it'll sell fine.
That person posting in that Chinese forum says that the Hancock DVD looks a bit too dark and the quality is passable for standard definition. But it ain't all too great.

I picked up Popeye vol. 3 and I'm looking forward to next week's release of Donald Duck vol 4.

Well, I wasn't able to buy Get Smart: Complete Series from Best Buy for 2 reasons: it was sold out and when I asked if it had any special features, they said all it had were the eps themselves. So, I decided to wait for the season sets.

Popeye Vol. 3: 1941-1943--I got the free comic book from Best Buy.

Now that I've saved myself some money, I'm really looking forward to getting Kung Fu Panda, Clone Wars, & Dragon Ball Z: Season 7.
