MGM's Hitchcock Premiere Collection - 10/14/08 (inc. Rebecca, Notorious)

DVD Active has posted details on MGM's Hitchcock box set, which includes:

• Rebecca
• The Lodger
• The Paradine Case
• Spellbound
• Notorious
• Young and Innocent
• Sabotage
• Lifeboat

All of the movies include a fairly nice set of extras, although much of what was on the Criterion releases for Rebecca, Spellbound, and Notorious has been replaced. Fingers crossed for a Blu-ray release, as unlikely as that is, but I'm grabbing it one way or the other...at least during the next DD sale in November.

i'm glad some of these are coming "back in print" and the set seems like a fair price. if you just buy one of the criterion dvds used, it will cost the same price as the set. this will be a welcome edition to the hitchcock boxset collections that are already availible. i would have wanted a blu ray announcment too.
