I didn't see one around here, so here it goes.

For a long time, I was always curious on how many sales some movies were making when released. Every now and then, you would hear a press release touting some movie breaking a record for number of sales for the year. Yet, I always wanted to see how other movies were fairing as well. Thanks to The Numbers.com, they have that type of info. So, I thought I should start a thread that tracks how many sales some movies are having.

As you can see, I Am Legend is the number one movie so far, with other 5 million units sold. Yet, Alvin and the Chipmunks is a very close second, almost catching up and being number one.

As you can see, National Treasure - Book of Secrets was the number one movie for the week, selling over 3 million copies. It was the last of 2007 big hits, so it doesn't surprise me.

If you have any info on how TV shows are selling, post them here. The Numbers doesn't usually post those unless a TV show sells well enough to make it into the charts.
