I'll be checking out the Twister (Two-Disc Special Edition) as well as Sweeney Todd, and maybe No Country for Old Men.

Aw, crap. I finally got around to picking up Twister about a year ago, and now there's a two-disc Special Edition. Will have to check out the bonus features on that one before deciding whether or not to double-dip.

I'd say keep your existing copy since the new 2-disc adds very little to it, and redip when you get blu-ray. The tragedy of the new disc being that it loses that great DTS track on the previous release.

I was never able to utilize DTS audio anyway since our system was never set up for it, and we won't be getting Blu-Ray anytime soon. But there's not much new in the way of featurettes or stuff like that?

She Ra's "The Secret of the Sword" movie was re-released today as well, except it's only the movie, and not the five extra episodes.

I've got Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 3: Fire, Volume 3 on my Netflix queue, it should arrive tomorrow. I refuse to buy it and give in to Nickolodeon's greedy behavior (it contains four episodes that won't air in the US until July, so people will buy this to see see episodes early).
I'll buy the season 4 box set when it's released.

Here's what I picked up this week:

    Twister: SE
Hiya, Kids! A '50's Saturday Morning--shows that my late mom used to watch during her childhood.
Speed Racer The Next Generation: The Beginning--I saw it on Nicktoons Saturday night, and I thought it was great!

I can hardly wait for Galaxy Rangers Vol. 1 to be released next week!
    Best Kim Possible Dialogue:
    Kim(to Ron): You're weird.
    Ron(embarrassed) Kim.
    Kim: Shhh. I like weird.

    Most Memorable Winx Club Dialogue:
Dark Bloom: Why don't you fight?! Or is it because I'm more powerful than the five of you combined?!

Flora(furious at the Trix for hurting Rose): SHE WAS MY SISTER!!!!!

The Classic Caballeros Collection: Saludos Amigos and Three Caballeros went down to $9.99 at Amazon.com so I ordered it. I also ordered Blade Runner - 5 Disc Collector's Edition on Blu-Ray.

I'm pretty sure Wal-mart had both of those in their $3.99 (or whatever the price is) dvd bin.

That sounds too good to be true. The Caballeros Collection just came out last week and is a Disney DVD. And the Blade Runner one is Blu-Ray. I haven't seen any Blu-Ray discs being sold for less than $10 yet.

Besides, I don't shop at Walmart and bargain hunting for cheap discs usually are happy accidents for me.

A new Twister DVD? Really? I'm currently trying to search out the new Spider-Man: Mutant Agenda DVD release and I'm hoping to find it soon.

this was a Canadian release, correct? If you don't live near the border perhaps you can order it online.

I'd say that your best bet would be to give this version a rent at a video store or library to see what it has to offer.
Not it will most likely do any good, but I encourage any interested parties to sign this petition.

MST3K The Movie. The most watched VHS in my movie collection can now take a well-deserved rest.

    Looks a lot...weirder in widescreen.
