I may pick up the Saw Trilogy. I'm not a huge fan of the movies but a six-disc set for around $30 can't be beat. I am just anxiously waiting for next week - Spider-Man 3! I'm also hoping to come across some cool horror films to watch this week, given the time of year - Halloween.

Meet the Robinsons and The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones Vol. 1.

Got my copy of the Filmation Aquaman complete series, and for approximately $20 at Best Buy!

Expect a post about it and the other DC Filmation discs soon.
Please respect costumed characters. They have feelings like you and me, and half of them may know you personally.

I purchased The Stanley Kubrick Collection that collects the new remastered editions of A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, Full Metal Jacket, The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and the documentary Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures (I think that's what it's called.) I have never seen a Stanly Kubrick film, unless you count the trainwreck that became A.I.: Artificial Intelligence. I researched all of his films yesterday, knowing full well since the set was announced back in the summer that I was going to buy it anyway. I'm glad I actually work at the store because the sets went fast, when they eventually came in.

I believe that we should receive New Release product before the actualy release date, but lately, some of our product has been coming in late. I apologize, but I feel that it is disrespectful to both the employees at retail stores and to the customers to not ship out product on time. I'm reaching my limit because it happens every week, especially when it's a video game. I hate saying "no" to a customer, unless it's something unreasonable like asking for a Wii to be held. It is the responsibility of Media associates to make sure that the product makes it out to the floor, if there is room, but it is the responsibility of the distributor to make sure that the product is shipped on time. I apologize for getting off topic, but it's something that's been irritating for a while, and I want some feedback if possible.

    Back on topic:
On Sunday, I purchased Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers Special Edition, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers Special Edition, and Halloween: 25 Years of Terror as part of the $6.99 horror film special that we're running at Best Buy. (Shameless plug. )

I'm tempted to get that Kubrick set but I'd really like a comprehensive set. I could've sword I saw a release date for such a set, but now I'm wondering if maybe what I saw was this set with an incorrect list of films.

As far as I know, the Stanley Kubrick Collection is the only set of his films that was announced for release recently. If I find anything out, I'll post it here. For the amount of money you're paying, it's not a bad set at all. We've already sold out and have handed out more rainchecks for it than our second order will have. I'm glad I got my copy.

Today, I decided to purchase the X-Box 360 HD-DVD drive, and in return, I received Heroes Season One on HD-DVD, the 300 HD-DVD/DVD Combo, and the Transformers (2007) HD-DVD for free with the purchase. I also have a rebate good for five additional HD-DVDs so I am glad that I put down the money. Simply awesome! I just need to buy a high definition television for the game room, and I will be set.

My stupid Best Buy didn't have Galactic Guardians and only had a damaged Aquaman set, so I bought the Saw Trilogy and the Transformers HD-DVD instead.

Anyways .... I'm not getting a thing for this week ...

I very narrowly missed it at my Best Buy. Galactic Guardians for some reason wasn't with the new releases and it's slot in the t.v. series section was empty, but I soon it in a very- VERY- random place the next aisle over.

If I see the Kubrick DVD collection next Tuesday when I go to buy MST3K Vol 12, I think I'll get it. I don't own any of his movies yet, which I'm sure is a crime somewhere.

We don't have to wait that much longer for the third season of Lost to arrive. Patience is a virtue.

I picked up the steelbox version of Grindhouse Presents: Planet Terror today. On Tuesday, I will have to stop at Wal-Mart to buy their exclusive edition of Spider-Man 3. I will also have to pick up the exclusive edition available at Target. I like their artwork better than the normal two-disc edition.
