The only edited versions of S&M I saw were the Wal-Mart editions, which were just the CD and the VHS release. I don't think they ever released the set on DVD without profanity.

To be fair though the set contains the least amount of profanity I've ever heard from a live concert--five or six F-bombs and one S.

Perhaps he doesn't like profanity. Or he could be like my parents (assuming he's young, I don't know) and they won't let him have anything with a PA sticker on it.

I know a few people who buy edited (for language) CDs over the PA stickered versions. It's just a personal preference.

Yep. Metallica's generally pretty clean and any parent who thinks their kid hasn't heard anything on S&M is deluding themselves.
