I've purchased both volumes but haven't actually viewed all the shorts yet.
Was there a widespread problem w/ the dvds? So far I haven't encountered any problems.

On Volume 1, Warner Home Video used edited-for-TV copies of "The Truce Hurts", "The Milky Waif" and "The Little Orphan". Each of the three shorts had racial gags removed.

On Volume 2, the cartoons "The Lonesome Mouse", "Nit-Witty Kitty", "Saturday Evening Puss" and "Polka Dot Puss" are the versions where Mammy Two-Shoes' voice has been redubbed with a modern "less offensive" voice. (However, all other cartoons featuring the character on the collection are unaltered.)

    Hope that helps!

thanks, for a sec I thought there was a defect I hadn't gotten around to viewing yet

so I suppose this news means that WHV is subbing the edited content for originals?

speaking of which, I just saw your avatar. With Popeye getting a dvd deal, I wonder how soon Woody the Woodpecker is going to get his day.
