Wow, I will NOT be getting this. "Homer's Night Out" is already available on Simpsons Season 1, and "Homer the Moe" is a very bad Season 12 (Prod. code) episode. I DO enjoy "The Mansion Family" and "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday", but I can't justify spending $15 for a mere two episodes.

This proves it: THIS is why the season sets are being released to far apart. So Fox can sell the 'best of' sets and make even more money off the show.

Fox doesn't even put much effort into these best-ofs- for example, the Treehouse of Horror compilation had a static menu, average video quality, and a hastily thrown together clip job of Kang & Kodos. The least Fox could do would be to fill the DVD with as many episodes as possible (like 7 or 8) to make it worth your money...

Great idea. The 3 worst epidoses ever, and a crappy Season one episode. So far, I bought all 4 seasons, The Christmas DVD and the THOH DVD, but there's no way I'm spending a dime on this.

Um, why are they releasing these compilation DVDs when they have season box sets out? Who wants to buy some crappy ass DVDs when they can wait (1000 yrs though) to own them with the complete season? Unless they put the Bart's Day/Lisa's Day/Homer/s Day ep on a compilation DVD, count me out!

You mean Trilogy of Error? Love that episode.

Lisa: Almost done. Just lay still.

Lisa: I knew that. Just testing.

Now, see, if they put 6 or 7 good episodes, like that one, and others from season 10+ on a disk, I would probably buy it, even though I buy the season sets as soon as they come out. Episodes from the later seasons will take waaay too long to come out, so it might be worth double dipping to get them 4 or 5 years before the season set comes out...

or they could start releasing the season sets a'la Star Trek, and do one every other month... that's my vote...

Why can't some people understand that there are others that don't want all 5000 episodes of a show, just a few of the best?

Why do you question peoples logic for buying compilations, then tell which compilation you would buy in the same paragraph??

The problem with that is that everyone has a different definition of the "best." I bet if you asked everyone who's posted in this thread so far what their ideal compilation disc would be like, you'd get a different answer from all of them.

...Which is why I think that, once the technology gets cheap enough, the best solution will be to charge people a per-episode fee to download them and burn their own compilation discs. Although the bandwidth to do so at any reasonable speed and video quality probably won't be available until after DVDs are on the way out in favor of some new format.

Hmm, yeah, I won't be getting this. I barely get the season sets, why get this when they'll eventually come included in the sets.

Sure $15 is a decent price, but most Simpsons sets are like $40 i think.. I still say the sets are a better deal.

When I saw the words "Simpsons Gone Wild", I was first thinking that it was going to be a Simpsons porn film! *barfs*. But luckily I was wrong. Anyway, I'm not planning on getting this DVD, but I'll probably try to get the "Christmas with the Simpsons" DVD sometime soon.

I'll probably get it. Target usually sells these DVDs for $10 anyway.

Same here. And it has Homer's Night Out re-mastered. Plus also, it has a little movie featurette...

I didn't feel like starting a new thread for this, but according to tvshowsondvd.com, there's yet another "Best Of" Simpsons DVD coming November 2nd. It's another Christmas one. Episodes included:
    -Homer vs. Dignity
    -Skinner's Sense of Snow
    -Dude, Where's My Ranch?
    -Tis the Fifteenth Season

Wow, they sure know how to pick 'em. Once again, only two of those would be worth having on DVD (those being "Snow" and "15th Season"), and "Dude" is hailed as one of the worst episodes of all time. Plus, "Homer vs. Dignity" barely counts as a Christmas episode as it is, with only the parade from the 3rd act having ANYTHING to do with Christmas. The only good news about this DVD is that none of the episodes will be out in box set form for a REALLY long time. The oldest episode on the set is from season 12, for crying out loud! But I won't be getting this either.
