Question about Spawn

Hi guys...I read the Spawn and Batman comic today (and it was darned good)..and I had a question..

Why was it in some panels Spawn had his mask on, then in the very next, he didn't? What's the deal w/ his mask removal in each panel?

I was just wondering..I hope it's not some weird complicated answer.. :)

spawns suit is alive, its kinda like venoms suit but it can do much more, spawn can remove his maks at any time since he has controll over it. he prefres to have it off, he usually only wears it when fighting.

cool, thanks. I sorta wanna read some comics just w/ spawn in it..any real good ones you guys could suggest?
