I was watching justice leauge this week, and I noticed a couple of things that arouse questions in me.

1. On Brave and the bold, Grood made a comment to sarah corwin, I forgot what he said, but it kind of gave me the feeling that, just like Gigantia, she was a monkey once that Grodd turend into a human. Could this at all have been possible?

2. Last night on Legends, The Streak told GL "he was a credit to his people" Was that supposed to be taken as a racial comment, or was he probably talking about the people of his universe? someone help me out

Well, it was the goody2shoes, husband-wife-separate-beds-on-TV, Pleasantville pre-racial integration 1950s....
It's all about context, I guess.

Howdy,

Lot of folks on this forum with one-track minds, then... (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=81369)

There is racism of ignorance and racism of malice, and the Streak's comment, to my mind, falls decidedly into the former. That doesn't make him any less of a hero.

On the second question, I totally agree with Ace the Bathound. The JGA, without a hint of cruel intention, also treated their sole female member with a certain lack of respect that would be unacceptable by today's standards.

As for the first queston, I believe that it was established in the story that Corwin and Grodd first made contact with each other via e-mail. So I assume she was always a human woman who fell under Grodd's influence.

I wonder what happened to her? Or did Grodd ditch her for Giganta?

The show seems to aim for the idea that while Grodd is a big ugly gorilla, he's also quite the ladies' man.

Check out John's reaction to that comment. He starts to get upset, then decides not to make an issue of it.
