TDK Mediactive, Inc. (OTC:TDKM.OB), a global publisher of entertainment software, announced today a long-term, worldwide licensing agreement with DC Comics for their legendary underwater super hero, Aquaman. The agreement gives TDK Mediactive the rights to develop and publish games featuring Aquaman and his underwater kingdom Atlantis for next-generation videogame platforms. The first Aquaman title is scheduled to release in 2002. Platforms will be announced at a later date.
"This legendary hero from DC Comics presents an exceptional opportunity for us," said Vincent Bitetti, chief executive officer of TDK Mediactive. "Aquaman's epic adventures are an ideal subject to showcase the exciting graphic capabilities of next-generation platforms.
