I'm not a big fan of those old Porky Pig shorts, but I think my vote would go to PORKY'S POPPA.

Eh...he's not fat in "Porky's Poppa." Avery, Clampett and Jones slimmed him down for "Porky's Duck Hunt" and by the end of 1937 only Tashlin was still using the `fat' Porky.

And speaking of that, my favorite `fat' Porky cartoon was Tashlin's "The Case of the Stuttering Pig" -- outgoing obese Porky design meets incoming Warner Bros. style of humor ("I'm the guy in the thoid row, ya big sour puss!").

I like Porkys' Railroad! I like the part where Porky passes by a bunch of logs revieling a black hobo living under it. I also like the part where he turns the tunnel inside out!!!:) :) :)

Even though you didn't list them, I like The Blow Out and Plane Dippy. Those are great early examples of what would become the WB house style.

PORKY'S MOVING DAY got my vote. The breakneck pacing, insane gags, and (for a cartoon) suspenseful thrills always do it for me.
I also like Porky's early pals Lulu the Ostrich and Dopey the Ape. It looks like they were about to make Dopey into a racial stereotype— but then backed away and said "no, we can do better..." Smart choice.
FYI: Anyone notice the posters of (human) boxing champs on Dopey's wall at the start of the cartoon? The boxers are black guys when seen from a distance, but switch to being white guys when seen up-close.

I voted for "The Village Smithy."
It's one of Avery's best!
