You're all buying Shrek, right??? Well, rush out to your local Blockbuster TODAY (or ASAP) and you can get Shrek for free, VHS or DVD. All you gotta do is purchase a rental pass for ten free rentals, which you can use once per week, and the rental pass is $25.00. And the movie is ABSOLUTELY FREE with the purchase of the rental pass. So go and pre order now!

Membership rules apply. You gotta have a membership so they can pre sell Shrek to your account.

bump

I don't wanna see this one drop off for a little while. I think this is a great deal.

Pretty neat. Does anyone know about the special features of the DVD?

I don't think I'll do this. If I had a DVD player, I probably would though, but I am not as interested in the tape.

I am really trying to hold out on buying a DVD player for as long as possible.

NO!!! *sob sob sob* I don't have a Blockbuster here!!!! DANGIT!!!

my life sucks.

I loved Shrek... although I seriously think it was WAY rude to have Smash Mouth sing I'm a Believer. Not that I have anything against SmashMouth, mind you, I just think The Monkeys did a better job.

wow! Talk about off topic! Where did that one come from?

d'oh!!! i'm always off topic... my mind has a tendency to wander off into space while I'm typing and I just type whatever it tells me too... don't pay any attention to me... I'm going back to my little corner now *does so*

LOL. I guess it's ok, off topic posts can keep some threads alive! I've seen some go all over the road, so I am sure you will fit right in with the rest of us who can't keep our minds on the topic at hand!

But a covers thread! I like the potential that may have! Maybe you should start one, Batchick! Posters could talk about their favorite cover songs/least favorite cover songs! It could be good fun!

Thanks for asking! It comes out November 2, so the last day you can get it for free from Blockbuster is Nov 1.

that gives me *counts on fingers and toes and then back to fingers* 29 days to get a blockbuster in my little itty bitty teeny weenie little village (ok... I think technically it's a town, but who can tell!!!) anyone think THAT"S going to happen?

I think I'll skip this "deal" and just buy it on DVD for $22 at my local Wal-Mart. No offense to Blockbuster, but I can get Shrek for cheaper. I never rent from BB anyways. But to all the Blockbuster goers, this is a good deal!

And the SHREK DVD is packed - and I can't wait for it!

You can get it cheaper than free?

I think DG means cheaper than 25 bucks (not to put words in your mouth or anything). Since he doesn't rent videos much, going for the deal would be like paying 25 bucks for the dvd. This is kind of how I feel, I don't rent often so I'll just buy the thing when I feel like it.

I guess for the people who want to spring that extra three bucks they can get ten free rentals out of the deal. Not too shabby either, considering the average new release is about four dollars each!

Bingo! I never rent movies, so this deal wouldn't really work for me. Still, I am counting the days until Shrek hits video...

Sell the rental pass on Ebay! :D

I don't do ebay, but that is a good suggestion for anyone else out there. :) November 2nd is a greta day for this movie to be released. Mainly because of the release of MONSTERS INC. on the same day, it will no doubt draw attention to the SHREK dvd release.

OH MAN! I just realized I won't be in town for the release of Shrek! THAT SUCKS! I will be in some small rinky dink town in Minnesota that thinks DVD is something you wear under your pants! MAN! I will have to make a point to drive some where that day to get mine!
