Between Season 1 and 2 which fights would you say are your favorites.

For me everytime they get Superman and Grundy mixing it up my jaw hits the ground.

Any given fight from "The Terror Beyond". I didn't like that episode dialogue/plot-wise... but it's hard to argue with all those kickass fights. I don't think JL has ever done action that well.

Wonder Woman vs Aquaman, "The Terror Beyond" -- this fight was beautifully choreographed, showing two highly skilled warriors. It was especially good as a contrast to the concurrent Superman vs Grundy battle, which was just two uber-strong guys pounding on each other.

Even Wonder Woman's loss was well handled; the fight made it clear that she would most likely win, and she got over confident, leaving herself open for Aquaman to take her down.

Superman vs Mongul (War World).

It was long, violent and bloody.

It reminded me of John Carpenter's They Live.

and of South Park's Timmy vs Jimmy brawl. :cool:


And right behind that, the time Robin fought Clayface in New Adventures of Batman episode Growing Pains.

Superman vs. Darkseid from "Twilight" absolutely owned. After the abuse poor Clark took in Season 1 (from on-screen adversaries and the Internet crowd) it was just too great to see him pummel ol' rockhead. What an excellent way to start off the second season with Supes reclaiming his former glory and prestige.

Oy vey! There are simply way too many to choose from. Most episodes, especially in season 2, have at least one excellent fight sequence, often two. My gut tells me to vote Supes v. Darkseid, but I don't think that fight was really an issue of how well-orchestrated it was. It was just a very emotionally charged moment. If Superman and some other villain went through the exact same dialogue and actions, it would have been somewhere above mediocre but below excellent. I'd much more likely give "The Savage Time"'s battles higher honors because it was simply well done and didn't need the personal grudge match factor. Then again, if the personal grudge match factor is fair game...

Superman vs Darksied, "Twilight" You could just feel the hate between these characters and it was about time we got to see Superman hurt someone!

Superman vs Doomsday, "A Better World" That was just plain awesome.

Wonder Woman vs Aquaman "The Terror Beyond" As Crimson said the fight was beatiful. Kudos to the storyboard artists who did that scene.

for pure fun, i'd have to go with the justice lords vs. doomsday, that was beautiful. dong woo is now my favorite animation studio so far, everything was consistantly fluid and powerful. i just love the little touches, like when superman and doomsday trade stares before they deliver their punches, or the spotlight following doomsday as he walked toward superman. it really well done to say the least...

I forgot to mention Hawkgirl vs. the Green Lantern Corps. That was fun to watch :)

No doubt about it. It has to be Superman versus Darkseid in Twilight. It was when we got to see the Supes we used to know in STAS and i just felt it was really dramatic. I could pratically feel Supes's anger.

Justice League vs. Secret Society.

My main reason is because at the final scene, when they start off the fight, it really reminds me of Superfriends. The show was stupid, but it's a nice tribute. Plus, when they really initiate the battle, the animation is INSANE. I absolutely LOVED it. Good guys and bad guys all over the place fighting each other. Amazin', man. I loved it. I think it was the best animated fight.

Best written fight: Justice Lords vs. Justice League. I hated its crappy conclusion, but I liked how it was written. GL vs. GL. MM vs. MM was even cooler. Cool beans.

But I'm sticking with JL vs. SS. For once, animation won me over writing. Go fig.

Definatly Superman vs. Darkseid. That's the best so far. I think something in Season 3 will top it.
