The implication is that there will be no Emmys this year.

Hmmm...My guess is that you can probably expect bootlegged "Emmys 2001" tapes on Ebay by the end of the month....

The whole event has been cancelled, and might be rescheduled for later this year. It's likely there will be none until early 2002 possibly.

From what I understand, they are considering rescheduling it, but the consensus is that there is nothing to celebrate at this time.

damn...and i was really looking forward to seeing the crew from frasier and the west wing walking away with some more suitcases fully of awards...gotta love the suspense...ah well, there's always next year.

Haven't there already been awards given out? I thought that they always rewarded the behind the scenes people and saved the ones for actors, directors, and TV shows for the big night.
