Checked out the site -- All of the cartoons seem to be the public domain releases, but looking at the details on "Porky's Ant" (and we are talking Real Video here) it looks like the computer colorized version, instead of the 1968 redrawn, because there's way too much modling on Porky and use of effects animation (dust clouds, etc.) for it to be the 1968 version, which IIRC is among the PD releases.
Unless they have the OK from AOL Time-Warner to use the computer colorized one, I think that's a no-no.

No that WAS the redrawn version, believe it or not...

The redrawn of Porky's Ant is one one of the best redrawns ever made. They did very well with the 3-D modeling, and the backgrounds almost have the same amount of detail the actual cartoon would have had (never seen the real version). It's only when you see a TV sized print of it that you notice the awful camera reflection in many scenes. That's it's biggest flaw. Other than that, I'd say whoever all redrew Pork's Ant must have had more artistic talent than most of the others doing it.

I went down and watched the start of it the second time on the office computer (with the 19-inch monitor) instead of on the laptop at home and you can tell with the larger screen that it's a redrawn. But along with maybe "Notes To You" it's one of the few redrawns that does look halfway decent.

this is a definition of SVCD:
SVCD stands for Super Video CD. A SVCD is like a VCD but the video are stored in MPEG-2 Variabel Bitrate(like DVD Movies) and in higher resolution. A SVCD can contain from about 35 to 80 minutes video/CD(740 MB on a 74 min/cd and 800 MB on 80 min/cd) and therefore most movies on 2-3 CDs. The quality is worse than DVD but better than VCD and VHS. SVCD does also supports up to 4 removable subtitles but SVCD subs is only supported by a few standalone DVD Player and no software DVD Player or H+, DXR3, DXR2 supports it.
SVCDs can be played on
- Many standalone DVD Players,
- All CD-ROMa/DVD-ROMs can play SVCDs with a software DVD/SVCD-Player
Real media is accessible to all over the internet with low bandwidth meaning almost everyone. that's why...
