I work for a Big-4 accounting firm (I'm one of the geek guys in the background not an accountant) but the mail room folk here are nice. At Christmas time I get a slew of packages and they keep them together for me until I pick them up in the mail room.

I picked up the January issue of Newtype. Happy Lesson was the featured anime on the DVD. I didn't like it that much, but I thought the Wedding Peach parody and the geeky guys were funny.

I got the magazine from a comic book shop, and the guy there knows me. He had some magazines that had the front cover cut off, and he me a back issue of Animerica Extra (Issue 6.12) as a sample. :) I really enjoyed catching up a bit on Banana Fish.

This month, I'm planning to get Big O II, Vol. #1 and possibly the first issue of the Strain graphic novel, if I can find it (I'm trying the later at the recommendation of Sailor Chibi Otaku).

Rei Ayanami: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Raise Ayanami Scheduled Statuette, Cat Girl Version - Yes. A statuette of Rei, as a cat girl, in reference to the Rei version of Princess Maker. The figure included a bonus metallic shiny 8 by 11ish poster of Rei looking the cute with her cat girl ness. For once, Sega's shameless merchandising of Evangelion pays off with something I'd buy. 25 dollars.
