Okay, this topic may be a teeny bit off-topic, but, since it does encompass DC characters, I think it should be okay.
So, what are some of your favourite superhero parodies on TV? Personally, I loved the Powerpuff Girls episode "Super Zeroes", which featured a double Wonder Woman parody (the comic that Blossom was reading, and then the guise she later too - Liberty Belle) and a double Spawn parody (the comic Buttercup was reading; Spore, and the guise she later adopted - Mange).
So, what about you? :)

I always liked the Tiny Toon paradies of Batman, with Plucky as Batman and Hampton as his sidekick. Not real sure what either one were called but they were pretty funny, especially the one where he is trying to get into the "Justice Gang"( or something like that!:p )

Pooperman, on Saturday's "Ripping Friends" was pretty good. The nose ray, the stinging bath gel, etc.

Those are all great choices! I don't know if this counts or not, but The Tick kinda parodied itself.
Oh yeah, forgot that aside from superheros in general, it made fun of Superman in the first ep when he couldn't find a place to change.

I nearly died of laughter when I saw an old episode of "Muppet Babies" where little Kermit and the gang act out Harrison Ford films. When they did "Star Wars", Fozzy was "Fozz-waka" instead of "Chewbaka" and Gonzo was "Gonzsolo" instead of "Hans Solo". It was GREAT!!!!:p :D :p :D
As for Wonder Woman, I have an issue of "Stralog" in which Paul Dini discuss TNBA before it comes out and near the back of the issue are a whole bunch of interviews with other silver screen and big screen heroes, including Lynda Carter from Wonder Woman. She is pictured next to herself in a Wonder Woman poster and next to Miss Piggy in full Amazon regalia! That was tres cute!

Super Chicken! From George of the Jungle. Not a parody of any specific superhero, really...but good stuff.
The Tick parodied several superhero ideas, like through his use of "Spoon!", the giant who ate planets (Galactus parody of course), the inability of the guys in helmets to talk coherently...the list goes on and on. So that is definitely a parody.

The best is on Alvin and the Chipmunks. I love BATMUNK! He is the complete and uddreest best imitation Batman.
After that I would choose Plucky as Batduck because I like the Batmobile. That Tiny Toons episode where they show the real Batman acting all cool and stuff??? And Batduck tries to get into the Batmobile... Anyone remember that one?

Yea... :snicker: that was a good episode... and Montana Max came and took all the 'super heros' powers... then it was up to the Pluck to save them... One part that sticks out in my mind is when Plucky did the dancing with wooden shoes bit... That was funny. I also remember the muppet babies acting in all those old movies. Hey DB, did you ever see the Muppet Show where Miss Piggy revised her role as Leia w/ the one and only Mark Hamill?

I think one of the funniest parodies came from Saturday Night Live. The guest host was Sinbad. It was on right after the "Death of Superman" books came out in the early 90's. The skit was the funeral for Superman. Some of the highlights:
-Both DC & Marvel characters were there.
-Lois Lane complained that Clark wasn't there.
-Lex Luther does a eulogy. He first says he is sad he died. Then retracts it and says actually I am glad.
-Sinbad comes in as Black Lightning and no one knows who he is. So Jimmy Olson doesn't let him in. He then zaps him.
A second nomination goes out to an even earlier SNL skit. Where their is a superhero party. As John Belushi playing the Hulk stinks up the bathroom.

And the only thing Max got from Plucky was his speech impedement! Lol!:D Yeah, that was a great ep!

*And finally, this little hentai comic for the Spiderman fans....

I thought it was hilarious when The Rock was on SNL. He played Clark Kent and all of the workers at the Daily Planet knew he was Superman. Hehe, I loved it when he came back into the office with his cape sticking out of his shirt collar.:D

The Catwoman parodies on MAD TV were among my favorite skits!
And in Legal Action Comics, there is a parody of different superheroes...uh, fetishes in...well, certain areas of lifestyle not mentioned in the comic books! It's very funny stuff.

I really loved the Rock as Clark Kent. It was the funniest Superman parody I've seen. I have to agree with the Plucky Duck-- he made the funniest Batman.
So funny,
-Mrs. Wayne ;)
The Rock, as mentioned, and Conan O'Brian as Moleculo, the Molecular MAAAAAAAAAAAN! Speaking of screaming names, I think Birdman was pretty funny but still kinda cool. Space Ghost is sort a spoof too, and the Tick. Also mentioned was Batmunk, which I thought was AWESOME. hehe. There's good cartoon and live action spoofs, and now toys....look at those new Alfred E. Neaman as the "Just-us League" lol, I love Flash's mittens, or Superman's sneakers.

Here's one I am surprised nobody has mentioned before...Mystery Men. While not a parody outright, it was a very clever and well done and intelligent satire of the superhero genre. I think of it as a superhero movie for people who were tired of superhero movies.

Late addition: The Mighty Heroes (Diaper Man, Cuckoo Man, Rope Man, etc.) were faves of mine as a kid. Some early Bakshi at work, he later resurrected them on an ep. of the New Mighty Mouse.

Batgirl, I don't have a vivid memory of that one, but it does ring a bell. By the way, I think Batgirl is cool too, despite some of her incredibly lame lines on TNBA.
I just remembered on "Darkwing Duck" (LOVE THAT SHOW!!!) Darkwing teamed up with a whole bunch of other heroes to form the "Justice Ducks" (even thought two members weren't ducks!). They were Morgana, Stegmutt, GimzoDuck, Neptunia and Darkwing up against the "Fearsome Five": Brushroot, Liquidator, Quackerjack, Megavolt and NegaDuck. There was another time when DW reluctantly teamed up with a group of mutants. It was a one-shot episode with one-shot characters, but they had names like Banana Boy, Glue Gal, The Amazing Sneeze Master (LOL!) and the Rubber Chicken. They fought a guy named Cement Head. The episode was a riot! It completely made fun of the ludicrous origin stories that are concocted for mutant heroes! All in all, though, the Justice Ducks were way.....way cooler!

give credit where credit is due. the father of superhero parodies is still the best. pick up a reprint of 40's, 50's or 60's batman comics. read it and then watch the 60's adam west batman series. it is the funniest parody of a superhero ever. when i grew up watching reruns of it i thougt they were awesome and filled with suspense. a little later, i thought "how lame" tim burton did such a better job with batman. this is so bad, it's funny." it wasn't until a few years ago that i realixedthat they were bad on purpose. it was as cheesy and literal as you could get to the comic book at the time. the comic back then just didn't translate into a serious live action series. the producers and writers for this show were completely ahead of their time. ironic that without this parody, the character wouldn't have taken the dark backlash turn to his roots as he did. those who knock the old series didn't comprehend it's purpose. rent the newly released batman: the movie dvd. adam west is simply hilarious. listen to the comentary as well. this ultra light take on the most dark , grim and serious character is truly comic genius. has anyone ever seen the episode with the surfboarding contest between batman and the joker? or the one when batman runs for mayor. and how everything batman and robin own is labeled (they did this in the comic and it was just absurd in the show.) it wasn't until we saw just how rediculous batman would be in real life, that we knew he had to change. thank god for frank miller. well, that just about does it for me, but tune in next week for this sad fanboy's next analyzation of our favorite caped crusader. same bat time. same bat message board.

I'm not sure if this counts or not... but that one comercial on CN where the PowerPuff girls come and save Wonder Woman and Aquaman and a couple others... and Blossom says to Wonder Woman "One day we hope to be as developed as you!" And then the pile of badguys starts cracking up and slowly everyone does... I just LOVED that!
ehem... and is that doesn't count... then the episode of PPG Super Zeroes.

The Molecular Man! Man, that was hilarious! I missed out on the Rock one though. I would love to see all the superhero parodies SNL has done.
