Ok, we have a slightly mutated version of the game here, at least I think it's different from what I've read. You give two names of movie stars like Jim Carey - Matthew Broderick for example and you get from one to the other in a set number of moves, like say 20, and you have to stick to the number. And no loose associations such as marriage or director, just a movie they've appeared in with one actor who was in another movie with the next actor, without duplicating any actor or movie.

For all I know it may be exactly how it's played there too, so apologies if it is.

Anyway, Jim Carey - Matthew Broderick in 7 moves sounds like good place to start.

Jim Carey was in The Truman Show with Ed Harris
Ed Harris was in Stepmom with Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon was in Thelma and Louise with Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt was in Interview With The Vampire with Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst was in Little Women with Christian Bale

Christian Bale was in American Psycho with Reece Witherspoon

Reece Witherspoon was in Election with Matthew Broderick

We should probably keep new associations to a specific day of the week, Sunday maybe, so we don't continue the same problems the board's been having. Assuming anyone wants to play...

Anyway, how about Bruce Willis - Russell Crowe in 7?

*Edit*

Cool, someone likes it. What do people think, should we stick to once a week for a new one, or let the next poster choose one? Sticking to one a week could challenge people to find other ways to get to the same end and give everyone a chance to play while avoiding possible spamming/post count issues that seem to have arisen. Anyone got any ideas on this? There are at least two ways for Bruce Willis- Russell Crowe so it could stretch to a week perhaps? But there's a chance it could get dull too.

Bruce Willis – Samuel L Jackson. Pulp Fiction

Samuel L Jackson – Geena Davies. Long Kiss Goodnight

Geena Davies – Michael Keaton. Speechless

Michael Keaton – George Clooney. Out Of Sight

George Clooney – Chris O’Donnell. Batman And Robin

Chris O’Donnell – Al Pacino. Scent Of A Woman

Al Pacino – Russell Crowe. The Insider

Bruce Willis was in Pulp Fiction with Uma Thurman
Uma Thurman was in Batman and Robin with George Clooney
George Clooney was in Out of Sight with Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez was in Gigli with Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck was in Good Will Hunting with Robin Williams
Robin Williams was in Death To Smoochy with Danny Devito
Danny Devito was in L.A. Confidential with Russel Crowe

This is pretty fun!

And not to be a smart-a**, but you can get from Jim Carrey to Matthew Broderick in one move- they were both in The Cable Guy.

For the next one- John Candy to Julia Roberts in 7 moves?

This was tried before with the DCAU. It survived for a little bit but like only three people played it and it died. Loosen the rules a little, maybe. Like, just say the two actors and then see who does it in the least amount of moves. Or let anyone who gets it first go without waiting a week? I dunno, maybe you're right and there just isn't enough interest for this sorta thing.

You should try my variant called "The Weirdest Links" (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=94971&highlight=Weirdest). It's fun.
