What's going to happen to all of those old cool shows that aren't really around anymore? Afew in mind are Alvin and the Chipmunks and Rocky and Bullwinkle.
I miss those shows, and would give up my pinky toes for new content!

That really sucks!
I'm sort of happy with the reruns. It'd be impossible to do new Rocky and Bullwinkle and have it be just as good. It's not just good characters that make a good show, it's also the time it was made in, as well as the people who made it. It's rare to have all the right talent at the right time creating an exraordinary cartoon. Newer shows, like, say, Animaniacs, could probably be revived today, if some of the old talent could come back, but for shows from the 60s, it would pretty hard.

Thus art never really dies and since animation is art neither does it.

Well with Digital Cable (which the Canadain goverment is pusing even harder then the FCC is pushing digital brodcasting) more channels open up a hell of alot more channels and I bet you those old cartoons will live on in reruns on specialty channels take a look at Teletoon Retro yhea it is just a block now but I bet in 5 or 7 years it will be a channel and US TV probably will follow.

well they got Booerang from CN, if they plan on getting rid of R&B and Alvin and the Chipmunks, maybe they will move these shows to Boomerang. Maybe they will put Histeria! on Boomerang.:)

I was surprised to see that two Alvin and the Chipmunk movies were on cartoon network tonight. They were really cool. Clever writing and at least two good songs.

Yeah....remember the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie? Maybe it's best for cartoons like that to be remembered rather than brought back and hacked up just to make some quick cash...
...or at least if you're going to merchandise them, DON'T do a movie or series revival....which destroys too many plot points or brings up old ones we'd like to forget.
