Plot Hole in Teen titans?

Ok i don't know if its just me but can someone please explain to me how the Titans found Slade's Lair in Apprentice Part 2??? Maybe i am missing something but i still have no clue how they did that. Or is it just a big plot hole that was never explained and made no sense?

Once they discovered the existance of the probes, they could probably use them to track to the source of the transmissions... remember, Slade had some sort of way of monitoring the probes from his lair that involved some sort of low-level communication or broadcast between the souce and the probes. Once they knew that these transmissions existed, they could isolate them and track the source signal down straight to Slade's lair where Robin was being held. Yeah, its a little iffy from a scientific point of view, but hey, for cartoon science it works!
