We've again hit a few stumbling blocks. Since you've asked I think you deserve a fair answer.

The inks are all done. Around a third of the colouring is done as far as I'm aware - and that includes lettering. Really it's down to Silverknight who is putting the finishing touches. Her colours are great but they do take time. She's had a lot on her plate of late too which has slowed her down.

Some advanced information: Issue 6 will have a guest colourist - Flash will confirm more when he comes back from Hiatus. From issue 6 I'll be writing also as Silverknight takes an extended break from the project.

Gaaaah. Yeah, I'm going to have to take complete responsibility for that. The inks have been done for a few weeks, and I've been trying to finish them as quickly as possible. However, it's incredibly hard to do anything creative with absolutely no motivation whatsoever. (Damn my laziness.) Still, that's no excuse for the delay I've caused. I'm honestly working on them to the best of my ability, and I apologize wholeheartedly for the long wait on this issue. Believe me, it won't happen again.

I've just counted and Sliverknight is about halfway through colouring. As we said this is her last colouring venture as resident colourist on DKA and so far I think it's her best. She will be staying on to letter the issues - something I'm thankful as it's not the most exciting job and she's willing to do it! :D

As I said I'm taking over writing and I'll be getting that sorted out ASAP. I have the next issue in rough and definitive plot arrangements for the final few issues of this story. Once I clear my schedule I'll get back down to finishing the script and penciling the next issue. There maybe a small delay between issue 5 and 6 as the team adjusts. I'll try and keep the break to a minimum from my part.

On top of this there is a couple of further projects related to the WF comic team which will be announced soon!!

I've got some things I need to get sorted out for plans past the #5 issue. Unfortunately I'm working 5 days a week now and am not able to get online like I used to. They offered me a promotion at work, and hey, it's increased pay so I would've been stupid to refuse it. :) That is probably the biggest reason for the long pause. Everybody needs to thank SJJ, the poor guy basically took the roll of editor while I was away (which I still kind of am). Thanks, James.

Also, I made a commitment to do the cover for this issue... but with all the busy, busy going on in my personal life it has taken the back burner. I still hope I have time to get this done! If not, never fear, I just found out that Salvor is doing a backup cover in case I don't get mine done in time. Though his would probably be better anyways... ;)

Speaking of Salvor, everybody remember the backup story he did in issue #2? Well, he's went back and changed it around quite a bit! It will be released online soon, if I can get around to messing with my FTP uploader!

Yes it was I who asked him - muhahahahaha!

Yeah, I'm a firm believer in covering bases and if Sal does do a back up cover and Flash is on the ball (which I'm sure he will) - it will probably be used as a promo cover (well that's what I said to Salvor and Flash has had the same idea)... not being sure who long Flash was going to be away, I even asked Bird Boy about lending a hand with putting the comic up - in case Flash's time online was limited - again, covering those bases... yes I'm a little Brit planner.. :) Aren't I annoying? ;)

Silverknight is still working hard on the colours and expects to get all the pages done VERY soon!

Just a quick update:

The issue was finished a few weeks ago... (we did say we'd have it for new year..) but complications with Silverknight (modem issues) has created a delay (and massive stress and fits for the poor lady.

The end result she is recolouring the final two pages of the issue! Isn't that dedication for you??

Cover is by Ian this time, and issue 6 is underway. Ian will be colouring that issue and I'm do the art and writing. So far it's looking good! Revelations will start to roll thick and fast! :)

Well the issue is all wrapped up and sent to Flash so expect it soon!

Issue 6 is progressing nicely so we hope to get that to you in shorter time than you've been experiencing at the hands of Lady Luck... yeah we've had some serious technical issues on this one!
