Totally Spies will begin airing on saturdays at 12:30pm e/p starting Saturday, December 6th 2003. Totally Spies is now going to be airing 11 times a week, it seems CN is surprised by they're sucsess.

I'm wondering if Totally Spies will be in the Universal Ratings reports at toonzone soon! :D

I think I've seen all the Totally Spies episodes 3 times.

That is they're up to 3 times that they have played the episodes.

I have nothing better to watch at 4:30, so I watch TS. There I made TikiChic happy.

That raises a bit of a question for me. Could you all go to http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=96258 and throw in your two cents, if you have any insight on this?

By the way, I'm a regular viewer too! I can't help but wonder what would happen if our favorite operatives from WHOOP were assigned to guard an artwork coveted by the Catseye gang (I know, this hopelessly dates me and 99 percent of you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, but it would be a humdinger of a matchup nonetheless!).

Well, I am not going to say this is bad news because it must mean that TS is doing great in the ratings. I just hope new episodes will be aired soon because of this. I don't mind that they mix the old shows with new shows, but they really need to sprinkle in new episodes here and there just to keep the fans appetite satiated.

Unfortunately, the flip-side of that is that it might be getting a little over-treatment. I love Totally Spies! as much as the next fan, but over-playing the episodes that CN shows (Actually, over-playing any show for that matter, and not just TS.) might eventually work against CN (and TS) in the long run.http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/shrug.gif

One thing that CN annoyed me is that they play the episodes in order....everytime...jeeze it gets boring! You see Season 1 for over like 30 days then season 2 episodes finally show again are gone like after 1 week..cuz they only aired 11, but whatever i guess its they're loss for doing that. Also yeah "First Brat" aired on september..late september but it never aired again...and since then no new episodes after zooney world... I'm wondering if we'll get season 3...and why they didnt just air season 2 episodes as new episodes..it wont confuse anyone..the episodes are still pretty new! ...season 2 anyways.

Lets see how long it takes for this show to get played out, as Cartoon Network has a "MAJOR" reputation for playing animated series to death.Just look at other overplayed series on CN..Ed, Edd N' Eddy, Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo, Tom And Jerry, Dexter's Labortory and Pokemon.Give it time and people will be tired on "Totally Spies".

Yep, the cafe with the familiar Catseyes sign. Yep, I can well imagine, but Ryo would probably be hammered into a pancake. Still, it would be safer for Sam, Alex and Clover to set their eyes on him than on the hearthrobs of the elder two Kasugi sisters....

I just like the idea of two trios of young ladies of international derringdo and colorful body suits going head-to-head. That would be one humdinger of a matchup.

Ok, just for the halibut, I decided to cross-reference the Anime Forum on the issue of fan-service, since fan-service seems to be a part of anime. Now, I realize that TS is technically not an anime (for several different technical reasons), but it gets called that often enough that I no longer really care. I'm an anime fan, not an anime purist, so call it what you want.http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/shrug.gif

Now, where was I? Oh yeah... The issue of fan-service, and how the Anime section of TZ deals with it. Essentially, it's fine to do, so long as one keeps it reasonably tasteful. Just keep in mind that TZ was never intended to be a Hentai Discussion board, so topics of that nature shouldn't be discussed.

Wow, maybe this will get CN to get more girls shows. Bringing back Sailor Moon would be fun! Sure it's entirely unlikely but CN lacks girl power and SMoon as hacked as it is was quite enjoyable. I could see SMoon showing up on Toonami, pre-Toonami, after Toonami, primetime, general CN, and on SVES.

Anyway, I hope they pimp TMNT this much. The show deserves a lot of coverage.

First, I'm just using fanservice as a general term. I don't consider TS anime, but people know what it means when the word fanservice is used.

About your second point, yeah, I know but the fanservice in TS is very tame anyway. I'm not going to see a scene and than twist and pervert it into something that it isn't. For example, I think there was a scene in "How you play the game" where S and A were crawling on the ice, and I will point that out. I'm not going to add my own commentary saying something that is not allowed on these boards. I'll save the naughty stuff for Mela's board. :)

I never said that you considered TS anime either. All I was trying to say is that I've heard the term "fan-service" mostly applied to anime (usually hentai), and therefore, I used the "Anime Board" rules concerning fan-service as a reference.

I really have enjoyed this show, despite thinking I wouldn't. It's Sailor Moon 2000 (Ignoring that awesome Sailor Moon sentai in Japan).

I keep on thinking that it deserves a Toonami slot sometime, to fill the gap left by Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors, and Powerpuff Girls.

What the TS crew said to me, was that Girl Power was 'all the rage' in the late 1990's. Spice Girls, Josie and the Pussy Cats, Sailor Moon, and they created the show in 1997. I'd love to see the girls on a skate-board! :anime:

I wonder how TS is doing relative to the shows it adjoins in the Toonami block. I know I have caught a ton of episodes because they followed CN's airing of the final episodes of Dragonball, and I simply left the TV on.

It also seems a little silly to compare a show that airs in the afternoon, a time where kids traditionally own the remote and are rabid to kick back from school, with Cartoon Cartoons that usually air in the evening, a time where adults traditionally own the remote and are rabid to kick back from work :p

Like most of Roger Smith's post, that one was hard to figure out exactly what it said. I think it went along the lines of:

"What do you want from me?"

and I said

"Can I have a burrito Roger Smith"

and he said

Is "A Spy Is Born" the origin episode? I was wondering if one had aired and I missed it. Yes, I think I remember that episode of that babysitter's nightmare in the White House, wasn't aware they hadn't reaired it since. Would seem stupid not to show all of Season 2 when they're running the episodes they have into the ground....

11 times a week. It's not a Cartoon Cartoon, and not a Kids WB import. Maybe there is hope that CN isn't going straight to hell. Then again, a five-hour plus dose per week of girl power, someone may think they are watching Disney Channel. I don't know if that's more scary than CN losing it.

Later.

First Brat - daughter of president gets kidnapped. episode shown once.

Starstruck - almost the same as A Spy is Born except with a different plot.. dealing with 'Day's of Our Spies' and an old lady is... uh, i guess i should say old, so she thinks the bad guys in the show are real.

It should be noted that on CN's previous schedule listings, they have listed "A spy is born" but have shown the episode "starstruck." This has happened several times, and there seems to be no signs that they will get it right until the true "A Spy Is Born" episode is aired.

It should have aired by now.. they probably want to air both together as finale episodes or something..which wont be good..(a sign of no season 3...) :(
