Cartoon Network’s New Year’s Eve Bash Will Be Rad
When Adult Swim is Hosted by Brak’s Crazy Dad

No teenager wants to party with his own Dad on New Year’s Eve but Brak (a demented teenage space pirate) and his father (a tiny man with a Cuban accent) are clearly exceptional. To ring in the new year, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s highly rated block of animation for adults, will feature a New Year’s Eve party at Brak’s house on Wednesday, December 31, from 11 p.m.-2 a.m. (ET, PT) featuring all-new episodes of Adult Swim’s original series.

Brak and his pops will be joined by Brak’s best friend Zorak and other colorful Adult Swim characters for a night of cork-popping, pants-dropping fun. Those expected to join in the debauchery include: Carl, Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad, from Aqua Teen Hunger Force; Space Ghost and Moltar from Space Ghost Coast to Coast; Debbie, Hesh and Dolphin Boy from Sealab 2021; and Harvey Birdman, Phil Ken Sebben and Peanut, from Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law. Oh, and that’s not Father Time – it’s Old Testament prophet Moses in the house!

During the late-night marathon Cartoon Network will air premiere episodes from Adult Swim favorites including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Brak Show and Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law, as well as all-time favorite episodes of Futurama and Family Guy. Following is the Adult Swim New Year’s Eve schedule.

· 11 p.m.: Aqua Teen Hunger Force: “The Cloning” - The Aqua Teens’ TV starts to act strangely after it's cloned one too many times.

· 11: 15 p.m.: Sealab 2021: “Frozen Dinner” - A distress signal from Ice Station Zebra sends the Sealab crew on a daring rescue mission in their new submarine.

· 11:30 p.m. Space Ghost Coast to Coast – Space Ghost, Moltar and Zorak welcome special guest Susan Powter.

· 11:45 p.m.: The Brak Show: “Cardburkey” – Brak decides that living in a cardboard box will help land him an impressive girlfriend.

· 12:15 a.m.: Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law: “Blackwatch Plaid”– When Harvey’s boss Phil Ken Sebben believes his office has been burgled, he installs a series of oppressive security measures at the firm. The e-mail monitoring, cavity searches, color-coded crime alert system and security cameras aren’t making the office any more safe, but Phil seems to enjoy them. Meanwhile, Harvey is under pressure to bring in a new client. He ends up representing Secret Squirrel, who is on trial for publicly displaying the equipment he keeps underneath his trench coat.

· 12:30 a.m. Family Guy: “Da Boom” - When worldwide disasters usher in the new millennium, the Griffins relocate to a new town where Peter becomes the weapon-championing leader of the citizens of this new world, who eventually run the family out of town.

· 1 a.m. Futurama: “Space Pilot 3000” - A pizza delivery boy named Fry awakens from a state of suspended animation and finds himself in a futuristic world populated by aliens, robots and spaceships.

· 1:30 a.m. The Venture Brothers: “Pilot (Director’s Cut)” - Brothers Hank and Dean Venture travel with their scientist father to New York for the unveiling of a new invention. The dimwitted Venture boys end up being robbed and lost on the subway before falling into the arms of a New York “working girl.”

Brak and Birdman episodes are different.

Whoo, Secret Squirrel. They'll probably end up using the classic one though, not the 2 Stupid Dogs version. Then again, maybe they'll just mix the two (classic animation, 2SD voice). That'll be neat.

Sounds cool, I love "Da Boom" and the new episodes look cool. The Venture Brothers sound interesting too.

Sounds cool. I wonder what's playing at the 12:00 AM slot though? There's a new Brak show 11:45, and Birdman 12:15 but nothing at 12:00. Also, I was really hoping for the Seth McFarland Space Ghost Coast To Coast Episode to air, but oh well, it still might in January, so I'm okay with that.

I think the Birdman episode is a 1/2 hour long one.

Can't wait for that.

IIRC, wasn't there something about a "secret suprise" at Midnight or something?

Hmmmm, perhaps Birdman is 15, and a pilot could be at Midnight??

Well, I had an orgy scheduled for that night*, but I'm blowing it off for this! It sounds utterly zawesome.

*Facetiousness.

Who wants to bet that the Harvey Birdman episode will consist mostly of the non-funny "antics" of the employees of the law firm while the Secret Squirrel case is restricted to the backburner?

Substitute very funny for non-funny and you're right.

This is the first time I've ever felt the need to agree with Corrado.
