Special Guests Join Scooby-Doo for Halloween Frights on Cartoon Network
David Cross, Gary Coleman, Mark Hamill and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Pop Up During 24-Hour Scare-a-thon Oct. 31
Halloween will be haunted with spooky legends, scary monsters, haunted locales and - gasp! - celebrities during Cartoon Network's Scooby-Doo Halloween Marathon, which starts at the stroke of midnight (ET, PT), Tuesday, October 30 through 12 midnight (ET, PT), Thursday, October 31. Canine supersleuth Scooby-Doo and his Mystery, Inc. cohorts will encounter an around-the-clock assault of spooky ghosts, scary curses and menacing villains during the 24-hour marathon.
As part of the tricks and treats this year, Cartoon Network unveils "Night of the Living Doo," a series of original animated interstitial spots spoofing the Mystery, Inc. gang's encounters with monsters and celebrities. Underground comic favorite David Cross, as the owner of a failing haunted castle/bed and breakfast, gets help from the gang figuring out why zombies are turning his guests into the undead. Also joining in on the madcap mystery are Gary Coleman, Mark Hamill and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

The Scooby-Doo section will feature a new game, “The Ghosts of Pirate Beach,” printable Halloween masks, a Shaggy fortune teller activity and an application to join the gang at Mystery, Inc. Cartoon Orbit will be highlighting the "Creepiest cZone", and offering several scary Scooby cToons, while Cartoon Theater will feature spooky clips from various Cartoon Network shows.
To help build the buzz for the revival of Scooby Doo and those meddling kids, America Online will be featuring unique Scooby Doo programming during the month of October on its popular Kids Only Channel.
