This is the best comic I've EVER read, and it's finally being released as a TPB this month. Anyone who's read anything by Ed Brubaker (Catwoman, Gotham Central, Deadenders, Scene of the Crime, Detective Comics, Batman, etc) knows he's one of the GREAT ones - and we're talking Alan Moore great folks. And the art by Sean Phillips is, for lack of a better word: PERFECT.

I can't understand why no one bought the monthlies - the critics were all crazy about the book, there are a lot of Brubaker fans out there - yet it still didn't sell. It seemed that everyone was waiting for the trade... Well here it is, now's your chance.

The 12th and final (for now) issue of Sleeper also ships this month - and I'm really looking forward to it. But if no one buys the trade, then issue 12 WILL be the final issue, and that would break my heart.

So that's why I'm whoring this TPB to you all - if you don't buy it, us Sleeper fans who were lucky (and smart) enough to enjoy the monthlies won't get any more Sleeper. And this book is just too good to end at issue 12.

I BEG you to buy this TPB - it'll be the best thing you did all year. And buy a few extra to give out as christmas gifts too.

Once you've read this comic, you'll have a hard time going back to all the "normal" comics you currently waste your cash on.

And feel free to copy/paste this post on any other message board/chat room/whatever if you think it'll help sell the book. I want Sleeper: Season 2!!!

I'm not planning on getting it. I love Brubaker's work on the Batman titles, but what I've read of Sleeper just put me to sleep.

I'm probably going to pick this up sometime after Christmas. I loved Deadenders, I loved The Fall, I loved A Complete Lowlife, and I loved his Batman stories. I need to pick up Scene of the Crime. I also need Point Blank at some point.

But yeah, I'm almost definately going to get this book, because I like Brubaker's work alot. Great stuff.
