What's yours? I know I am always glad when candy corn comes around to the stores. And you know what's real good? Mixing it with peanuts. Get the right amount of peanuts and candy corn (you want slightly more candy corn than peanuts in the mix) and you get a good treat that tastes just like a nut roll bar. Oh, yea, it's a simple pleasure, but it's something you can only do once a year. I bought a couple extra bags last year, so I could have the snack out of season, but the candy went hard, even while just being in the bags. :(

I also like Willy Wonka's bottle caps candy, which I guess is available year round but I can only find it at Halloween.

Oooh! ANY candy! Naw, my fav Halloween candy is my usual crunchy candy bars I get all year like Nestle CRUNCH and Hershey's Krackle-THE best candy bar EVER made! :D

Though I agree candy corn is very good too, and my fav in-season as well. The brown-topped ones are better than white-tops, BTW. :)

Three Musketeers, Nestle Crunch, but I hate Tootsie Rolls, the chocolate kind. They get old fast. The orange ones are pretty good....

Anything fruity, no lollipops or sucking candy though. I really like the fruity tootsie rolls, but I only get like 1 of them each year. And fuit by the foot! Even though I rarely see them in Halloween.

candy corn..or those candy pumpkins...

I wonder...if I bought a big bag of those pumpkins...melted them..and then let them cool..if they'd form one huge pumpkin candy bar.....

Crunch bars and 3 Musketeers were always my faves, but Candy Corn...echh. I don't like it much, and when I'd try some (hey, it's free candy, I'm not tossin' it out!), it gets worse and worse the more I have.

I will probably go crazy on candy after Halloween when it all goes on sale. Mmmmm.

I was on a big Starburst kick this summer, but they replaced lemon with a crummy apple flavor. It was part of an online voting thing to see which flavor stayed, lemon or apple. A friend of a friend took all of the apples in her Starburst bag and mailed 'em back to the company with a note expressing her disgust. :)

Caramel apples are also a good semi-candy for Halloween time.

Yeah, Candy Corn! I'm about halfway through a bag right now.

Candy Corn is the best! I personally prefer the white top over the brown though...Man, last year the day after Halloween when all the candy is on sale I bought soooo much of that stuff.

Hey, I'll grab a bag and do that! I'm stupid enough to try! :D I'll post the results as soon as I get some of those pumpkins.

I love any candy that has peanut butter and chocolate in them. Mmmmmm..... :)

Can't say I like candy corn all that much, though - too sweet for me.

How the heck do you get some year-round!? Please tell us...does a store always have too much in stock?! Do you save it from Halloween?!

....Oh, and a pumpkin bar canNOT be made properly. Another one of life's mysteries solved.... ;)

They did the same thing to Skittles and to Sweettarts, tho in those to they removed the lime flavor for the sour apple. Kinda disgusting biting into a candy you expect to taste like lime and have sour apple instead! It's ok, but I sure don't want it in every friggin bag! I want my lime Sweetarts back! And my lime Skittles! Keep the green apple if you want, but put it in another bag with other new flavors!

Candy corn? Spew!! I prefer anything chocolate-based (no coconut, though. I can't stand the stuff). I also like suckers and hard candy. I'm also partial to fruit chews (Starburst, Now and Later, etc.)

Coconut is nasty. I can't stand the taste of it, and hate the texture of it even more. I hate how you can never seen to chew it and it gets stuck in your teeth and...eechhh

for the record..I like coconut.. :)

And I was at my grocery store today...and they had...candy corn pumpkins...99cents..oohhh..How I wanted them. So I got the bag and put it in the cart. when my mom saw it, "You're not buying that!"

So...to cut a long story short...I didn't get any pumpkins..but that's OK...she caves in at the end of the halloween season when they are around 25cents a bag.. :D

CHOCOLATE!!! I really, really, really like chocolate. Any type of chocolate is good: Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Snickers, Crunch Bars, Butterfingers....MMMMM! :D :D :D

Okay, sorry about that, but I haven't had any chocolate in a while. Hopefully once Halloween come I'll be able to replinish my stock.

As for other types of candy: fruity stuff is good (as long as its not strwberry). I can't stand candy corn and stuff like that. I don't know why, I just hate the way it tastes. I do like chocolate though...:p

Ooh. . . those little candy-corn pumpkins with the green stems. . .

And a couple Hershey's dark chocolate mini-bars.

Know what's really, really good...a mini snickers and a mini reeces' pb cup put together and eaten at the same time. Two of the best candies in the world taste oh so good together!

I like coconut too. I love dried coconut slivers.

Candy wise; dark chocolate is #1 in my book. I'd dig all the dark chocolate out of the Halloween stash. Dove Dark Chocalate is great. Mounds and Junior Mints are good too, but too sweet, IMO.

Candy corn: think I tried it one and didn't like it.

And I thought I was the only one who liked those Hershey's Special Darks...and black jellybeans....
Seasonal candy is the best...marshmallow Peeps at Easter...candy canes at Christmas...for Halloween, pretty much everything but gum. I'm not a big gum-chewer. I mean, it feels more like an obligation than a treat. You put it in your mouth, chew it until it has no flavor, and then there's the dilemma: swallow this or throw it away? Some may be cowed by the old u.l. that swallowed gum stays in your guts for seven years, so invariably (esp. in high school) about ten million gumwads end up under the desktops. Some of the g.d. things are so old and hard I've half-expected to see fossilized prehistorics bugs in them....

Anything involving chocolate. Especially Crunch/Krackel types with crisped rice in there. Mmmmm....

Dark Chocolate is my fave...I even make little easter chocolate ans x-mas ones too...this kind sweet lady gave me the recipe from her chocolate store but I promised never to reveal how to reproduce them :D

I only make them on special occasions and give most of them away to family and friends but hide a stash just for me :D

Anyways I am a chocolate freak...My fave candy bars have to be Kit-kat, Coffe crisp and M&M's
