Surely everything will be back at the status quo at the end of 'Hereafter' if they've gone and shown 'Secret Society' first.

You'd think...but...no. Wild Cards airs before Comfort and Joy. Wild Cards airs December 6th, while Comfort and Joy airs December 13th. Then it's nothing till whenever Starcrossed airs...

I get them much later so it's different for me (this makes me glad, although CN Australia was showing Series Two about a fortnight after the US started showed them), I have a suspicion that they're going to be on in the real order.

Although, we haven't had any new stuff since Maid of Honour last month but they are showing Comfort and Joy on the 25th. Then putting the rest of the Second Series on in January. The mind boggles.

Well did you really think Superman would really die in "Hereafter"? Unless the Superman we saw in Secret Society was a.... Clone or Parallel Universe Superman or something like that.

I'm not picking a fight or mocking you or anything...but did you ever really think, even for a second, that Superman would die? I mean....c'mon.

I see where you're coming from--as awesome as this episode is sounding, I don't want anything spoiled for me either.

my point is that i had absolutely no idea what "Hereafter" was about because i avoid spoilers like the plague. they're called "spoilers" for a reason

this is no different than someone spoiling the darth vader-luke skywalker connection to someone who hadn't yet seen Return of the Jedi (circa 1980's)

ever catch that Simpsons flashback episode when Homer was walking out of the Jedi movie and carelessly blurted out loud "Darth Vader is Luke's father!". All the people standing in line wanted to strangle him.

Don't you mean "The Empire Strikes Back"? And the point is that I believe this is a small part of the episode, and that it's mainly used to set up the rest of it.

I really do wish people would think about what they are posting sometimes in none spoiler content threads. Both this and the Secret society thread have suddently devolved into lots of off topic Hereafter spoilers.

Now i already had it spoiled some time ago, (My own fault, I did a search by user, and got a load of stuff from the Hong Kong/Israel thread i dident want to see,) But if this thread had eneded up spoiling it with no warning what so ever because its totally off topic i would not have been happy at all.

I feel for your pain Anarky

I think that the sensitivity regarding spoilers is completely valid. In this particular instance its a bit vague since Crow's statement is a logical conclusion that can be drawn from the spoilers in the production order, so I don't know about this thread. In general though, please refrain from bringing spoiler stuff into regular threads. It does get annoying.

IMHO The importance of Production Order in any live action tv series is that we see how that universe and characters evolve thru the episodes. and when standard elements first appear.
The original Star Trek is a prime example. It was originally shown out of production order and still is. but with PO we get to see when things like the mind meld or nerve pinch first appear.

but isn't it different with cartoons since episodes can be worked on at the same time and completed in any order? which iirc has happened with some episodes of B:TAS.
After all, live action can only produce one show at a time since the actors can only do one show at a time. but thats not true for cartoons

Certainly its important at what point Secret Society occurs as well the PO with regards to the hawkgirl subplot

That's an excellent point. The production order of BTAS differed from that of the order of the episodes chronologically, and that may potentially be the case here as well. I highly doubt it, but it is possible.

Okay so not only are they doing a version of Death of Superman but also like the Return storyline in the comics, they're going to drag the whole ordeal out by having some form of fake Superman. Ugh. Well, at least it'll prolly only be some variant of the Eradicator or something rather than a whole group of schmoes claiming the name.

I just hope they wrap it up quick. That whole thing went on way to long in the comics and from looks of things if its gonna go outside of two two-part eps its way to long here.

I don't want a dead Superman or a fake one. Just give me the real deal and do good stories with him as a member of the Justice League.

The TRUE spoiler is HOW it happens.
This is superhero cartoons. so its a given that the JL will win and any of them "dying" will be fixed by the end of the episode
Now Timm might do a shocking event like actually killing off a hawkgirl or GL or even a guest supporting cast but NEVER the big three of Superman Batman and Wonder Woman and J'onn is pretty safe too since they could not replace him with another martian

I dont think the fact that superman isent really killed is a true spoiler as its obvious. But being told he will seem to be killed has instantly robbed a moment of its dramatic impact.
