Howdy,

According to a press release on Newsarama (http://newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6621):

Now, DC embarks on a series of four trade paperbacks collecting the entire 24 issues pencilled by Pérez. The series kicks off in February with WONDER WOMAN: GODS AND MORTALS, a 192-page trade paperback collecting WONDER WOMAN #1-7.

< S N I P >

WONDER WOMAN: GODS AND MORTALS is a 192-page trade paperback, and will be solicited in the December issue of Previews (Volume XIII #12). It is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 18 with a cover price of $19.95 U.S.

Thought #1: Wahoo!

Thought #2: About friggin' time.

I had heard something about this in a news item on the DC Comics news site, but wanted to see it in black and white from an even more official source before I really got my hopes up.

I agree. I can not wait for this! There are 80 bajillion (yes, I said bajillion) Superman, Batman, Starman, Sandman, and whoever else trades, and I seriously wanted more Wonder Woman trades. And not new stuff (because they have been packaging those in trades) but the older stories that I missed the first time around.

I only have one adequate word for my feelings right now.

Yippee!

:p The irony! I spent two and a half years tracking down all the Perez-written issues and finally complete my collection tonight, only to learn that new, snazzy collected editions are coming out! Pity me! Pity me!

All joking aside, it's a bout fricking time that his stellar work be shown in remastered form. It's as good as Wonder Woman gets! My only concern is that his final issue may leave off on a strange note. From what I recall, WW #25 dealt with an alien invasion and served as a part of a crossover. What was #24 about? Will it adequately end the series of trades in a non-confusing manner? Hmmm....

Still - GO Wonder Woman!

Excellent news. Now, if only they'd reprint Perez's Teen Titans run...

Er, they have started (http://www.dccomics.com/graphic_novels/dc_display.html?cat=archives&itemCode=nttahv1hc), and future DC Archive editions are based on the success of the earlier ones. Of course, you probably meant "reprint Perez's Teen Titans run so the average schmoe can AFFORD it..." :).

There was a reprint of the "Terror of Trigon" story arc in an affordable paperback, but I think that's out of print. There's also always eBay.

Yep, that's pretty much what I meant! :)
