I picked up the Clerks animated series dvds a couple of weeks ago and I was listening to the commentary and Kevin Smith said that there may be a Clerks animated movie in this works in the near future. Well its been a while since the dvds have been released and I was wondering if anyone heard any news about the movie.

Since the TV series was cancelled, whatever the reason, I don't know who's gonna fund him. Besides, according to Kevin Smith himself, he's become too old to be telling GenX stories. That's why he's not doing any more movies neither; that plus he prefers his NJ home over Hollywood.

Wasn't it gonna be called Clerks: Selling Out involving Dante and Randal making their own low budget, B/W movie about the mundaneness of working as a clerk in a convenience store?

In "An Evening with Kevin Smith", he said that it is still coming out.

He's working on films right now.

It was originally supposed to come out in 2004, but it's been delayed to "at least" 2005.. it is, however, still supposed to be coming out.

Thanks guys. I'm so glad that it's not dead. I'll never forgive ABC for cancelling the show. Oh yeah Snooch To The Nooch.
