WTF is this? "Enter the Shadow Realm?!" Umm... (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?threadid=92269)

No, it's for the upcoming Noa's Arc and beyond.
They're trying to hide the fact that A LOT of people are about to die.
Y'know. Being "Sent to the Shadow Realm OMG".

Actually I really don't see why they have to say "Enter The Shadow Realm"
I think they should just have it "Yu-Gi-Oh: Re Enter Virtual World" or something like that. First off, this does arc does take place in the virtual computer world and secondly, they can just say that the dying person was "deleated and can never wake up again" or something like that. At least it's fairly more accurate.

Um, no....I've read summaries of the epiosodes in the Noa arc (I was curious...no, I'm not a fanboy of the show) and no one important dies or stays dead. Where'd you get THAT from?

The episode of Yu-Gi-Oh I managed to catch while in Tokyo at the begining of the month featured someone importent being killed by someone else importent.

Its probably to keep the card game show "fresh" in one way or another. Note that starting with the Johto ep. of Pokemon, they needed a special subtitle to seperate one series from the other even if they pretty much were the same. (thus Johto being in America "Pokemon: The Johto Journeys", "Pokemon: Johto League Champions" and "Pokemon: Master Quest") It also proves you should never mess with a Sicilian when death is on the....oops, wrong quote. I mean never mess with 4Kids when it comes with their crappy (and OK) dubs. (I mean come on, we all know this title will be used for the end of Battle City as well as Noa's Arc)

No one dies that isn't already dead. Let's say Anzu were to lose the duel to the Penguin Big 5 dude, she wouldn't die, her mind would just be stuck in the virtual world while the Penguin dude would live in Anzu's body when he left the virtual world.

It's just Yugio's new thing that's all
It's worse enough the show trys to put in the "Egyption mythology" junk mainly due to the fact that, Egyptians had no cards or card games, or that if you believe in a totaly random outcome (stack your deck) you'll win amazingly at just the right time.
They just stick this evil stuff in there to kep kids watching
otherwise it's just more of the same : monster,trapcard OMG your trap card hurt me.
So then they add this evil stuff to put a spin on it

it's hard to explain, but I'll try:
they took out the "dark" stuff and replaced it with other "dark" stuff that wasn't dark, but made the show seem cool (like the theme song, or Ishizu's constant yap about blowing up the world, or the excessive use of the term "shadow realm"), but it didn't work, and came off being stupid.

Um, your statement isn't exactly true. Egypt was one of the first places to have developed games. Which is why the creator gave YGO! an Egyptian theme, which is the thing that makes this show 100000 times better than other long series like DBZ, Pokemon, etc. YGO! is great. If it weren't for the Egyptian stuff, I wouldn't have bothered with it.

I disagree. They totally killed Yami Malik and Yami Bakura. Yami Malik wants total destruction of everything, while Yami Bakura wants to rule with the world in complete darkness from the Dark Games (Yami no Game). The US versions make them sound like they are doing nothing but having fun. Oh, and they didn't have both voices of Malik talking.
Do you remember the scene when Yami Malik first came in, was talking, and his face stretched out? It was suppose to be both voices in synch with each other, but the dub only had the 1 voice. I fear on how they are going to handle the Yami Bakura vs Yami Malik eps tommorow.

Yami Malik wants total destruction of everything, while Yami Bakura wants to rule with the world in complete darkness from the Dark Games (Yami no Game). that's what I was trying to say in the first place. they took out the "evil", and replaced it with "psuedo-evil" (like Dark Marik's voice, which sounded psychotic in the original)
And I was bugged about the face thing too. They make no atempt to even make up some stupid dub excuse for it... it just happened for no reason...
