The favorite Takahashi thread inspired me, so I thought what other manga-ka(s) deserve a thread, who else but CLAMP. Anyway since they have to many things to put in a poll, I obviously didn't add a poll.

Chobits. I used to love X, but after three-odd $15 GNs of the world shattering, I gave it up. Maybe now that they've cut them back to $10, I'll pick it back up.

Cardcaptor Sakura. I haven't seen many of the other CLAMP titles, and I love Cardcaptor Sakura.

anime: Angelic Layer - Great pacing, great characterization and fantastic animation add up to what is probably the best of the CLAMP adaptions.

manga: Clover - Probably the best manga I've ever read, and it's not even finished supposedly (either their are a lot of open ends, or CLAMP got burned by the fact the magazine Clover originally ran in went under.) The art quality, the panel layout, the story, the characters and everything else just come together.

For me,it's a tie between Chobits and Magic Knight Rayearth....Wish,Card Captor Sakura,and X/1999 are also good....

X TV. I haven't seen past the 2nd DVD, but I plan on ordering the rest of them pretty soon because I love the series. I also like Rayearth quite a bit.

Well, I haven't read any of their manga, and I'm a guy, so that somewhat limits my choices.....eheheh..... :sweat:

For me, it's a tie between Angelic Layer and Magic Kights Rayearth with Miyuki-chan in Wonderland as a guilty pleasure.

It's also pretty tough deciding, but I'd have to agree with Karl Olsen anime wise. Angelic Layer definetely takes the cake, It's one of the few instances in which the anime is better than its manga counterpart.
Manga on the other hand, it would have to go to Clover, Tsubasa, or xxxHolic.

My favorite CLAMP work is the X series for both the anime and manga category. The art for X is extremely gorgeous, the storyline is so dramatic, and each character has such an engrossing background.

I believe that all the future X/1999 volumes will be released only in the smaller $9.99 format. The next volume is #11 and it will be released next month.

My favorite is probably Clover as well, with Tsubasa a close second. As for anime, then I guess Card Captor Sakura. I haven't had the chance to watch Angelic Layer yet, but I'll be watching it as soon as 4 dvd's are out.

Also, I wish Tsybasa gets adapted to anime...

As do I, but it's still a fairly new manga. So, I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. :(

Cardcaptor Sakura; it's upbeat and can always puts a smile on face. Plus it has a great anime adaption.

yea that's true, I think it's currently at the 4th volume (as in, enough chapters to fill 4 GN's). Although a while back, CLAMP mentioned some "big news" concerning Tsubasa. Hopefully, that means anime adaption :shrug:

I like all of CLAMP's works, but Angelic Layer has been my favorite with X and MNRE just barely behind.

well i hate Clamp... but i do like Magic knight Rayearth and CCS! im just not the kawaii, girly manga... id rather see some action and fighting. i guess thats why i like these two series, they have some action!

I have to go with CCS too, it's probably the only shoujo series I actually like. Action, romance, humor, great character development, beautiful designs and animation, this show has everything, what else do you want?

I'll have to say Card Captor Sakura :anime:, I haven't really seen the others but I did get to see the first episode of Angelic Layer and I liked what I seen.Hopefully I'll get to see more and maybe change my opinion,but Card Captor Sakura will still hold a place in my heart :p.

Card Captor Sukura... I just love the anime and manga. And for the manga as well is Clover. I love Clover! :)
