www.superherohype.com reports that Sam Raimi is in discussion to direct the 3rd Spider-Man film. While he has not signed yet, sources say he will, and once Spider-Man 3 is finished, move onto Evil Dead 4.

Comments?

I'm really glad that Riami will be sticking around to do the third Spider-Man, as well. It'll be nice to have a nice, smoothe trilogy featuring all the main players. I'd love to see him bring in Venom for the third movie.

And a 4th Evil Dead movie? I'd love to see that, too!

I'm thinking the opposite, as I would like to see a Spider-Man 3 directed by him making it a true Superhero triolgy next to X-Men, I don't want Evil Dead 4.

I mean I'd like to see it, but it would really have to be super awesome and stuff. And I have had enough of it. It's a solid trilogy (okay, so Evil Dead 2 was a remake).

Evil dead 4 eh? I guess they're going with the Origonal ending for Army of Darkness rather than the Director's cut ending.

(I actually like the origonal ending better anyway)

Ya, same here. The uncut ending was just bad.

And thanks for the compliment Dork Knight.

I'm with everyone else. Spidey is nowhere near as necessary as Evil Dead 4

You better be joking. He's the reason to see those movies. Who else could deliver the like "shop smart, shop s-mart" with such class!

Making an Evil Dead movie with out Campbell would be an incredibly stupid move. If Raimi is seriously considering doing a fourth Evil Dead then he will cast Bruce Campbell.

If they are indeed making a Evil Dead 4, then right now its in the stage
of getting someone to foot the bill and setting things up. I'm sure its too early for them to be jumping up and down yet.

Ans seeing how the 1st Evil Dead movie was an independent Raimi, his brother, Bruce, and others made togehter and they had worked on many short movies beforehand. Its the movie that luanched their careers. Raimi wouldn't do it without Bruce, and probably not without his brother ( who's now a doctor but helped write Army of Darkness )

As for which ending to pick up from, Ash can have adventures resulting from either, although since they wrote the way they wanted it the 1st time, they'll probably go with that. I think they once said they were considering on having Ash trapped in a gas station fighting for his life, which would be like the 1st two movies where he's mainly in 1 place, the cabin, compared to the 3rd movie.

I hope he does this and Spidey 3, although if for some reason he can only do one, then he should go for his own series.

During a "Bubba Ho-tep" promotion, Bruce Campbell mentioned negotiations for Ash showing up in a Freddy VS. Jason sequel....

That's very true. The Deadittes (spelled right?) are still around in present day, according to the "theatrical ending" of Army of Darkness. Although the idea of having the 4th one set in the future is really interesting.
