Thousands of years ago, dogs from Sirius came to colonize and dominate the Earth, but rumors have spread across the galaxy that Earth dogs have strayed from their original mission. Hubble has come to investigate. Now Owen must help Hubble train a group of undisciplined neighborhood dogs to shape up for a visit from their leader, the powerful Greater Dane. I thought it was about a step lower than "Cats & Dogs", and the big dog farting wasn't funny the first time, and even less the next three or four times.

Molly Shannon and Kevin Nealon were just there for star power, and nothing else. They contributed NOTHING to this movie, outside of making silly faces at the dog.

Liam Aiken was decent as the boy Owen, but the girl that was just tossed in as his would be girlfriend, like the parents, was there to contribute nothing. Owen, The other dogs owners, and the two bullies could have been the only ones in the movie, and nothing would have been lost.

The dogs voices were right on target, though, except Matthew Broderick could have been replaced by any no name actor and gotten the same reactions. Brittany Murphy, Donald Faison, Cheech Marin and Delta Burke got most of the good scenes, although the ending doesn't really leave the door open for a sequel, unless they get a new kid and a new set of dogs for the next one.

BTW, It was a good choice on not exploiting the fact that one of the dog's owner's was a gay couple. It wasn't until I saw the credits that I realized that when they were listed as "Shep's Daddy" and "Shep's Other Daddy"
