Sorry to say, CN still won't be showing those 12 Bugs cartoons. But, I have got word that they are planning to broadcast a special half-hour episode of Toonheads during the marathon titled "12 Missing Hares". The special, which Jerry is involved in, will include clips from all 12 cartoons and narration explaining why CN won't be broadcasting them. The special will also include some other "offending" clips from Bugs' cartoons, such as the ending to "Fresh Hare". However, and here's the bad news, if Warner Bros. doesn't approve of it, it won't be shown.

That's interesting. Will there be other "offending clips"? Like the director's cut ending to "Hare Ribbin'"? Bugs' slave immitation from "Southern Fried Rabbit"? Just wondering....

I was just wondering: In that marathon are they going to have a lot of filler or repeats or something? Cause all the Bugs cartoons (minus those 12 of course) aren't enough to fill 49 hours.

Probably. I remember last year, the cartoons with Bugs in space ("Haredevil Hare", "Hare-Way to the Stars") aired 3 or 4 times!!!:o

I think "Knights Must Fall" was played 7 times during June Bugs 1999.

I don't have much more information about the special than that, Thad. It is being edited together as we speak, I am told. I am sure Jerry will post more details on his website when they become available.

Also, expect to see plenty of repeats during the marathon. Sunday will consist almost entirely of repeated cartoons (there will be repeats of all of the premiere cartoons on Sunday as well).

Will the premier cartoons air all together, or will they be sprinkled amongst the others?

It would be nice if CN could play them all together, in one 6 or 7 hour block on 6/2. I own a majority of the ABC Bugs Bunnies, but there are quite a few I'm missing. Some that come to mind:
"His Hare-Raising Tale", "Oily Hare", "Baby Buggy Bunny",
"Napoleon Bunny-Part", "Half-Fare Hare", "To Hare is Human",
"Piker's Peak", "Compressed Hare", "Shiskabugs", "Hare Breadth Hurry", and "Dumb Patrol" (was this even in the ABC package? )

Any idea if the cartoons will be in chronological order? It always used to be that they would either be chronological (more or less) or themed by block. They have almost always aired the first Bugs 'toons ("Porky's Hare Hunt", "Presto Changeo", "Hare 'Um Scare-Um", etc.) in chronological order at the first, and then gone from there with anotyher theme. What's it going to be like this year?

As it was originally announced, they were to show in chronological order, save for the 12 being segregated. I imagine thats how the first run-through wil be handled. Does anyone out there know how I can get Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt on VHS?
I wonder if any of the execs have even watched it! Any help in this regard would be welcome.

The video you mentioned was part of the Viddy-Oh! For Kids line of videos from MGM/UA. They have been out-of-print for ages. But they still pop up on eBay and used video sales from time to time.

Also, I recommend you visit The Bugs Bunny Video Guide (http://www.geocities.com/bugsvideo) or the video guide (http://www.toonzone.net/looney/video/) on my site. Both of which are much more up-to-date than the video guide on Nonstick.
