I was wondering if anyone hates or dislikes the school that they're attending.
I do sometimes.
Some days are good, some are bad.
They have an A/B schedule thing and I hate my B-Day schedule...all of the teachers that piss me off/I hate/are annoying.
My 4th period stays the same both A and B days and that is Math.
It's alright sometimes. When substitutes are in it's fun.
Everyone goofs off, meanwhile the substitute(at the beginning of class) tells us that they can control the class and they obviously aren't doing a good job at it and are getting frustruated. :p
So does everyone like school...hate school...or just dislike it?

I like... lunch.
I hate... algebra, biology, english, spanish, social studies, and computer.
That said, I voted for "sometimes." Some classes are boring (english, spanish, computer), and some classes are freakishly hard (algebra, social studies, biology). But lunch is the second best part of the day. Not because I eat a lot (I eat most of my food before lunch, usually in spanish), but because the cafeteria is so small that everyone eats outside and plays games or just hangs out.
The best part of the day is going home.

The air doesn't work? Shouldn't you be dead? :D J/K
Anyway, I don't like school, but like my buddy Pustli0, I also have an A/B day schedule. I like B days because that's when I have my Foods class (my fav class).

I like my school.
My teachers are great.
I started out disliking one of my teachers, but I've started to like her more as the year goes on.
My 1st period teacher has a great sense of humor, and she's a good teacher, to boot. My second period teacher teaches English, and she doesn't make us do that much.. And, the class goof-off really goofs off in her class. :) 3rd period is Algebra, and she's a good teacher- She's willing to come back there and help you figure out what you're doing wrong. 4th period is keyboarding- A pretty meh class. 5th period is Library, so I basically use that as a free period. 6th period is World History- And, the teacher actually makes things interesting (Well, for me, at least- people fall asleep, occasionally..) 7th is Geometry, which I like (I like math in general). We then get out of school at 2:52. :anime: I don't have an A/B class schedule.
Doing good in my classes.
Only problem is that I'm pretty much late to most pf my classes.. The school's small, but there's two different buildings, and we have two and a half minutes to get between buildings. We're a small school (400 students, high school, middle, and elementary combined), so I guess that's how we can only have two and a half minutes between classes.. I'm just a slow walker/Not very organized.
I'm in more clubs this year, and one of my old friends came back from another school- Though, I tend to hang around my 'normal' friends, more often..
It's been a good year so far.

:p Either he ment "air" by oxygen in the atmosphere or the thermostate.
The classes that I hate and why...
Art-It's boring, the room SMELLS, and the teacher is a tall, ugly troll like idiot.
P.E-It's boring and if we don't "look and listen" the dumbass of a coach takes off like 10 points from our daily grade and won't let us get a Coke at the end of class. And I cherish that Coke because at lunch we get to have 50% JUICE! (Lucky us!) So that Coke is the only real drink that we get to have all day, intill we get home, and because they don't let us bring Coke's into the lunchroom.(Got a LITTLE off topic. :p )
English-The room is FREEZING! It feels like it's always 24 degrees in there! And she has chimes near the vent thing so that it doesn't cut off!
Social Studies-I hate it! I hate learning about countries that I'll most likely NEVER visit and (obviously) don't care learning about. At least it's (somewhat) intresting countries this year...Africa, and the Middle East.
That's about it.

You guys have never seen a High School so big before? I mean, my school from the outside looks a mental institution.
Anyway, it is half and half giving it a "Sometimes" rating. My Global History class is "like what we are learning but not the teacher" scenario. Chorus and Band and Math teachers are genuine screwballs. LA teacher, can't find the words to describe her. Lunch is boring because I hang out with one person, and I have nothing to do (after the lunch is ate however). Latin and ES are boring, Lab is bring as well as Study Hall, but not Gym. That is about it.

I love to learn. I love seaking out knowledge, engaging in discussion, all that stuff. Theoretically, I should love school, as well, as it's suppossed to be a place to do all this stuff and more. Often, however, it isn't.
I had a couple of really bad experiences with classes in high school. I had a psychology course which started off with a really odd teacher who was fired after a few weeks. His replacement had no idea what he was doing. He actually had "The Idiot's Guide to Psychology" on his desk (something which didn't exactly inspire confidence in me). In the class, we spent time doing simplistic worksheets and watching movies that had nothing to do with psychology. Rather than bother with that, I just read the text book on my own. I got a bad grade in that class because I didn't bother with a lot of the work that was assigned, but I can guarentee I learned more about psychology than anyone else in the class did.
But it's not all bad. I have also had some very good experiences with school. I've had the privellege of learning from some teachers who are not only great educators, but are also some of the greatest human beings I have ever met.
Now I'm in college, and it's certainly much more enjoyable overall than high school was. There are a lot of things that seem similar to high school, but a lot of the kids I've met so far have much more of a desire to learn than the kids in high school ever did. I think as I get a chance to take more classes I'm interested in (after getting obligation classes out of the way) I'll like it even more.
But I've already seen some stuff with academics here that has turned me off a bit. Some of the classes are just poorly designed, some of the professors are jerks who hate their students, etc. So, like with high school, I'd have to say that I like it "sometimes."

I hate everything below college for two reasons.
First, no longer does one get a basic job without a high school diploma, so basically survival = social brainwashing. No job means no money, which means no food. School itself is not really about academic learning, it's about social learning. There's a reason people don't use the academic knowledge they gain from high school, it's the fact that academics is not the primary lesson to be learned. Want to know why you get up early morning and arrive back late in the afternoon? Simply because that is a typical working schedule.
The second reason? Truants (a.k.a. kids who have better things to do than be in school) can be placed in juvenille hall.
College isn't much better. People "who don't belong there," like me, find out very quickly that they aren't welcome. In fact, the only reason I stayed was because of the already paid high speed internet.
Later.

Yes, with an undying passion. Here's why:
-Geometry sucks.
-We can't carry bookbags.
-Uniforms. Bah.
-Required to have cheesy planner and 2" binder with you all the time.
-Principal = Boss Hogg.
-All my friends are moving away.
-Waking up at 6 in the morning.
-Packing my lunch while half-asleep (at 6 in the morning) in order to avoid long lines
-Getting sore in PE/Gym (Or Lifetime Wellness as they call it) from lifting weights
-Loud, obnoxious people. (Including students and teachers)
I would keep going, but I'm sure you get the point.

Well, I'm stuck in the Air Force right now, and I'm going to school here. It's basically college with some stricter rules.
For the most part I don't like it, for reasons like the dorm I live in being substandard and over 50 years old, the fact that we have little connection to the outside world without paying insane amounts of cash to go on the net or show 2 or 3 forms of ID to go somewhere, and the fact that a majority of people are just morons. Then there's the school's itself. Waking up at 4. School at 6 until 3. Listening to teachers explain electronics for that long is a battle. Staying awake in class is basically the prerequisite for honor graduate status. Staying awake is the hardest part of it all.
And I'll be here till May. It has its ups and downs. Lots of downs. A few ups. . . eventually.

I used to hate high school. I don't know anyone, my classes were boring, and I always glance at the clock, hoping for the torture to end. It always seemed to be about learning and all that stuff.
Well, years later, I knew almost everyone in my grade, and all of my teachers were laid-back and are only strict against students who goof off. As a result, my classes got more interesting. My school became more of a social place. There are many ups and downs I had to contend with, but overall, I really like my school.

DjMGundam, are you at the Airforce Academy, or just an Airforce, school. I'm curious because my brother gos to the Airforce Academy. Me on the other hand, I'm still In High school, I'm enjoying it though. Most of my classes are relatively hard, but the higher level ones all have cool teachers (thank God)so they're not impossible. For example my french class has a really cool teacher who knows french very well and has taught it at universities, but she's interesting, and tries to make the class something to look forward to, so instead of droning on about grammar, she'll usually teach one thing, open up for questions, then we'll either a.) get off topic completely, or b.) use whatever we just learned by writing an ungraded, narrative, or essay. Other than that most of my classes are pretty good. My english teacher has an extreme passion for what she teaches, so she knows what she's talking about, but gets off topic very easily, which isn't necassarily a bad thing. other than that, the worst part of my school is the building, it's falling apart, luckily we're due for a huge renovation, since this new SPLOST tax passed in Georgia.

I'll have to go with sometimes. But it's not really the school I hate. It's the people in my school who annoy me. Especially my Geometry teacher.
She doesn't teach. She even admitted that she doesn't teach. "Instead of me explaining the lesson to you, I want you to talk with your classmates and see if they can help you," she says. In other words, I" don't want to teach you anything, I want you to learn from your classmates, who have no idea what the hell they're doing either." Moron
Aside from that, school's all right, most of the time. (If any of you are actually wondering, I'm a sophomore in high school.)

More reasons why I hate my school(the building...)
-There are roaches in the gym, the classrooms, the bathrooms AND in the LUNCHROOM!
-There are ants EVERYWHERE in the school, also including the lunchroom.
-The gym bathrooms have a STRONG stench of piss in it.

i don't like school. i like the material i'm covering, but i don't like the technicalities of school
first day-teacher welcomes you back, says s/he doesn't like the text book (yet they are the ones that assigned it), and they give you a syllabus about what you'll be covering for the whole semester
first month-review and easy stuff, take test
second month-difficult, teacher doesn't cover what's in book but basically goes off on a tangent about what they all learned from their own experiences, take test even though you have nothing to study by because if you resource back to first day, it says the teacher hates the book
rest of semester-write a paper here, take an exam there, do a project next. finally, you're done. did you learn anything besides a few terms? no. did you learn how to take all your imput and apply it to everyday life? no

My school is great! I just dislike some of the students. Most of the teachers (at least the ones I've had) are really nice. Aside from the occasional bad day, epsecially having Chem 2 1st period (waaay too early for chemistry, lol :p ), it's great. :anime:

My friends used to call me School Slut in high school. And no, that's not to sound like it must sound like. They called me that because I was a maximum teacher's pet, all the teachers adored me, I taught my friends better than some of our teachers, I loved going to school and reading and doing homework, etc. So that was their loving name for me  Now in college, I'm still loving it. And if you don't like the college you're at, well, that sucks because then you're paying to go to a school that you don't like! I pay about 30,000 for my school....so if I didn't like going there, well then there would be something seriously wrong with me! I'm definitely not fond of math whatsoever, but I'm an English lit major and all my English related classes are just heaven. The teachers are incredible and so nifty.

Oh is this a tough one.
I guess the answer is sometimes leaning more towards the hate side.
Now, I don't hate my school, I don't love it. I guess the best term to describe going to school would be "mixed bag", but somehow that description doesn't sound right either.
So my answer: I have no idea.
I go an all boy catholic high school, hell yeah I hated school. The first two years sucked. But the past two years have been cool, I actually didn't want summer vacation to come when I was in my junior year.
Yes, I hate school. Other than seein my friends and a few cool teachers there isn't anything good about it.
I hate Algebra with a passion. I also hate Spanish class and having to wake up so damn early.
Some stuff seems completly unimportant to be learning. Some of the stuff I learn in math seems like I'll NEVER haev to use it. Seriously, when the hell am I going to use matixes?
So offense to history likers but I see no point in learning about a civilazation that was around thousands of years ago. I don't care about how America was discovered. It isn't going to have an effect on me.
English is horrible when they force you to read a book of their choice. it wouldn't be so bad if I could choose the book, but when I'm forced to read a certain book I usually don't like it. Tom Sawyer? I did not like it. I can't relate to any characters in a book written that long ago! I really wish they'd let su read what we want, even if the teacher had to approve it first. I have a couple of Stephen King books I have yet to read.
And homework is just plain terrible.
So yes, I hate school.

I really didn't like going to school in K-12, especially when they started to enforce a no-tolerance policy and surprise drug raids during my senior year. College is better- the day is much more open and there's more freedom, but the downside is that I can't go home after school (not my dorm- my ACTUAL home).

My first semester wasn't that bad, my second semester was terrible for the most part, I plan to transfer after this semester. They make it VERY inconvenient for anyone without a car or doesn't live around here. They make it just as inconvenient to those who do have cars. Schools here brag about how 70% of those who start out in them drop out. Professor brag about having 1.5 average GPAs. I have also become very short-tempered. I could go on and on, but I'd rather not right now.

I like school now because I'm in college, and I'm an art major and all my classes are fun. The professors want the students to do well in their classes, and they're always available during office hrs. and they're always willing to explian things to students after class. The dorm food is pretty good and there is always a variety during every meal. (Tonight I had baked ham, not the thin slices of lunch meat ham, but actual ham.) Most of the srudents here are cool, open-minded, and hard working. There is a nice outdoor environment, and lots of outdoor stuff that I can do.
However, I hated jr. high and highschool. Ugh! For every 3 teachers I had that were nice, caring, and educated, I had 3 that were spawns of Satan. In jr. high, the administration threatened to expell me for the littlest things (like rolling my eyes at a teacher) because I went there on a permit. The school was heavily cliqued, and the popular students had no problem demeaning the other students. The teachers did not repremend the popular students because they were afraid of them, and because they want to be on these kids' good side. I refused to acknowledge the popularity of these students, so I often clashed w/ them. There were 3 instances where I had to choke people just to prevent myself from being beaten up. Of course, receiving threats from students just made my jr. high experience even worse. And my stuff kept on getting stolen.
In highschool, I had some very stupid or aqpathetic teachers. I had teachers that wouldn't lecture, they just give us a lot of busy work, or I had teachers that didn't care if we had problems in the course, they will tell us to hire a private tutor instead of helping us. As for my stupid teachers, ugh! One teacher assigned us the project of designing a travel brochere for Sparta. The Spartans didn't care about art, architecture, or tourism. What the hell is there to see in Sparta?
Yes, the idiots at the school don't help either. And here in Vernon, New Jersey you get a LOT of idiots who still think shooting spitballs at TVs, throwing things and Jackass are grade A humor.

That is easy to say. Remembering all of the problems at once is more difficult. The most obvious is science. The teacher is extremely strict, but she tries to act friendly. I never understand the laboratories, so I get embarrassed about that. English is a pain because of writing essays, which I stink at. The worst part is that that is the most important part of the class. As a result of transportation, my math period is sometimes less than 30 minutes long. (It is supposed to be 50 minutes.) That allows for very little to get accomplished. Art is boring and a waste of time, but I am required to take it any way. The computer class does not focus enough on how to use computer programs. Physical education has traditionally been the worst of all. Other students get upset about my poor performance.
This is my 10666th post, and on my 2-year anniversary! At least I do not believe in the devil.
I used to hate school. Despite what people told me, I still do. I'm at college now, which is far better.
School was very good at wasting my time. Most of what I was taught was pointess, and will never be used again. Instead of learning about an office based enviroment, which I plan to work in, I was MADE to do useless stuff such as History (what do I care about the cold war? How will that possibly ever help me?), Geography (Japan is overpopulated, big deal), or Tutorial, where I learned how to manage my day, or something stupid/pointless like that.
It's also bad for people who suck at tests. I had the ideas, but struggled to get them down on paper, basically most of the time because I have forgotten one word or something stupid, while if I was given time to look that word up in the test, gathered from what I have learnt I would have done better. Think about it, if I decide to become a marketing developer, would I find everything in my head? No, I would look it up like a sane person.
I got through high school, went to college, and what of this oh so important stuff have I needed? You'd be right if you said very little. Paticullary when my business teacher hated his students, but was nice and cheeful when the inspectors came about. Same in college, where did the budget go when the inspectors came? On the students? Don't be silly, the rooms where decorated to impress the inspectors, not something that could have been valuable to the students.
Makes me sick...

It depends how everything is scheduled for the day most of the time.
Heres a little tale for you. Today, in the middle of home ec. the fire alarm went off. By the time I got back (all the way back to the second floor) the oil on the pan had caught on fire. Unfortunately, nobody could find the fire extinguisher and evreryone was freaking out. I ended up grabbing it and throwing out the window. I got the marks to prove it :( .
I hate school.
I seriously do. I just started my freshman year of high school, and it's horrible. It's not a social problem, I've met a lot of people, and made a lot of friends, but that doesn't really matter. I'm swamped with a ton of work that leaves me no time for anyone or anything. I'm lucky to be writing this post right now. I hate it. Plus I have to sit up front in a lot of my classes, and there is this one teacher who hits me on the head, bangs on my desk for attention and might tap on my desk during a test. The same teacher is also the hardest one I have. He assigns too much homework, and crams too much in class. I got my progress report/midterm today, and I mostly got A's and B's... and a D in his class. I'm surprised that I even got those A's and B's considering how hard it was and is going to be to keep up. I also hate that there is not enough time to get from class to class. And I hate band. And mean teachers. And my classes/periods. And how mcuh of my day it taeks up. Nd skewl. My brain is breaking down, I have to end this post.
I hate it.

I don't really hate it, since it's kinda boring for me. It also kinda helps that we can read whatever we want so that keeps me intertained for a while. I hate band but my friends and I goof off alot in band and we don't get caught so school's fine for me.
I really feel history should be optional and you can take it if you have an intrest in it. I, however, have no intrest in history. Some people say history repeats itself... well it doesn't. America isn't going to be discovered again, it's already been discoverd. Learning about wars that have been over and done with for a LONG time isn't going to help me in life either.
Why should I care about civilazations that fell thousands of years ago?!
A lot of stuff I learn in math seems pointless. I hate, hate, HATE when the teachers say you can't use a calculator and need to show work and all that crap. I don't plan to get a career that requires a lot of math and I'll carry a calculator with me in case a hard math problem occurs.
Show your work?! WHY?! When a chashier sums up your total do they show you their work? No. They just print out a recipt.
50% of the things we learn in school are useless. We all know dividing fractions will play a crucial part of my life...
