Does any of you remember the Tiny Toons episode "Who Bopped Bugs Bunny?" If you do, then you'll find that there is a parody of the Gene Deitch Terrytoons character "Sidney the Elephant" called "Stanley," a green elephant who lost the Schmoscar to "Knighty Knight Bugs," one of the most boring WB cartoons ever made. Get it? A Sidney cartoon and even a DISNEY cartoon lost to that Bugs toon. Since Stanley was so jealous, he bopped Bugs Bunny on the head and framed Daffy for the crime. You know, I think that Oscar should have gone to Disney's "Paul Bunyan." And Terrytoons SFX never got adopted to HB, either. Not all the HB SFX were original; most of them came from Academy award-winning cartoons studios, which were WB, MGM, UPA, and even DISNEY, too! The occasional WB/HB SFX don't match with the Deitch-type character of Stanley on Tiny Toons.

I remember that episode, it's one of the few episodes I'd actually watch more than once. I never realized that Sidney was the guy they were parodying until now. :p

The Three Stooges's eyepoke ukelele/violin plucks turn up in man HB's, and in the l;ast Daffy and Speedy, 1968's SEE YA LATER GLADIATOR.Boiiing~

I remember the episode too. I can't figure why or how "Knighty Knight Bugs" won the Oscar. It's not an especially outstanding cartoon especially there were much better cartoons that Warner's produced that never even got nominated let alone won the Oscar.
