Oh Joy! My dream has finally come true!:p
Seriously, this sounds great.
However, I find it puzzling that they neglected to include "Man's Best Friend," "Son of Stimpy," and "Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen" and included the "Blow Yourself Up Like a Balloon" segment and "The Great Outdoors" which were both produced by Games.
But I'm not complaining. This should be a good set. I'm looking forward to it.
Let's pray that "Big House Blues," "Sven Hoek," "Dog Show," and "Out West" are completely uncensored.

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY! :D
This news totally made my day. Thank you so much Mr. Cooke! :)

I just wanted to note that these DVDs are being released exclusively through Time Life, and you'll only able to order them through their website or over the telephone. I have had no problems dealing with Time Life in the past (I own their excellent Muppet Show DVD collection), and plan to order these R&S DVDs when they become available.

I wished that all of this R&S episodes was most chronological order

I'm not a huge fan of the show, but I'm considering on buying these. The main reason I didn't like them is becuase they wer on nick and I just really didn't like nick. It's still not one of my favorites even though it's not on nick anymore, but I might consider it.

Im with you, I hope they release an extra volume and include all the episodes you mentioned. I have a feeling it will happen if these sell well enough, they did it with the Beavis and Butthead and Muppet sets...

It just occured to me that Big House Blues will be edited, because their source is probably what aired on Nickelodeon. Otherwise they'd have Man's Best Friend on there. :(
I could be pleasantly surprised, though. If anyone buys it, let me know. These'd be nice to have around, but I don't need 'em. :p

Further news, according to Tom Hay (Spumco employee), another set will be released eventually including classic and (gulp!) new episodes.

New Ren + Stimpy episodes on DVD?
(shudders)
I do feel that they should've released the episodes chronologically rather than stick random episodes throughout the DVD.

Does anybody know which DVD has the Powdered Toastman episode with Gary Owens and Frank Zappa doing the voices? There's a commercial spoof with Powdered Toast Man with a different voice that's only about a minute long, too, but I'd really like to see the long one first.
NEW...
EPISODES?!?!?!?!?!
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!
i... i feel it slipping! i must let my powers go!
AND I WON'T STAND FOR THIS ANYMORE!!!
*transforms into the Incredible Hulk*
Okay, that was kind've random, but new episodes = teh s uck. I don't want to watch some pornographic filth on R&S DVDs...

Looks like a great set, and a bargain for $30.

I'm praying that all of them are uncensored. Hey, if Spike TV (aka TNN) could do it, then Time Life sure as hell could.

The classic cartoons on Spike TV could hardly be called "uncut". :(

Okay, so maybe TNN cut the part on In The Army (?) where Ren and Stimpy get shots, but at least they didn't do what Nickelodeon did (or maybe they did and it never occured to me until now).

Nickelodeon didn't cut the Log/interstitial segments.

What, exactly, is so pornographic about 'Ren Seeks Help'?

Despite the small cuts (well, some big ones), I'm definitely buying this set. It's what I've been waiting for ever since DVD was invented and the idea of releasing cartoons on it came to mind.
Gripe: I wish they were in chronological order, but I'm taking what I get.

Guys, these dvd's are actually going to be totally uncut and restored to their original context. Nothing will be edited or censored from the content as they are using original prints.

YUP - Why else would they say in the description "How their creator intended them to be"?

What, exactly, is so pornographic about 'Ren Seeks Help'?I agree with Andrew R. The only pornographic episode was the first one (which I thought was one of the most twisted things on the planet). Ren Seeks Help is just a normal R&S episode...only more violent.

Cool. I didn't see that description.
I used to pause the screen and admire the angry poses of Ren in Stimpy's Invention a lot, so maybe I'll buy this after all.

Jerry e-mailed me this bit of info:
I believe they will be uncut. They are trying to sell them to the adult
"collectors market" - not "Moms & Kids". Should be a good collection!
