Water Water, Every Hare, LT, blue/red rings, 1952

Much Ado About Nutting, MM, green rings, 1953

Don't Give Up The Sheep, LT, blue/red rings, 1953 I've NEVER seen this cartoon before, I loved it, it's now my favorite Ralph/Sam cartoon, even though it seems the wolf didn't have a consistent character design. Also, that whole tree chopping thing is my favorite part.

So why is it that the sheepdog is called Ralph in this cartoon?
I always thought Ralph was the wolf and the sheepdog was named Sam. Or do I have this backwards?

Don't give up the Sheep was the first of the Sheepdog series, which should expain any inconsistancies with the rest of the series.

"Sheep Ahoy" (the second cartoon) also has the sheepdog called Ralph, and the wolf called Sam. It was finally made official as the dog being Sam and the wolf being Ralph in the third cartoon, "Double or Mutton".
