I'm reading One Piece, Shaman King, Kare Kano, Chobits, and Ranma 1/2. I'm not keeping up with the Inuyasha manga, because Viz's release really sucks. And they pick the worst possible art for their new Inuyasha design. The cover of 13 was just...ugh.

I'm looking forward to the Fruits Basket manga, once that comes out here.

Has anyone read "Confidential Confessions"? I heard about it on Animefringe. Tokyopop's releasing it. It looks really good.

I haven't gotten anything new lately. I can't wait for the last two Kodocha volumes to be released, and hopefully Tokyopop will release that "Mansion of Water" special GN, which I've heard is the movie Sana and Nao made in manga format.

Manga wise, I have two of Viz's DiGi Charat mangas, although I'm passing on the third one (I'm not much of a Piyoko fan yet). Currently, I'm waiting for the first volume of a certain manga to come out this month. One clue to what the manga is: check out my avatar. Finally, while this isn't manga, I do have the first volume of MegaTokyo and definitely have plans to buy the second one when it comes out next year (I think that's when it's coming out).

I picked up Battle Royale vol.1 this weekend, and man its intense. I like it alot so far, its like a weird Lord of the Flies meets survivor or something. I like the social commentary and a good display of how easliy people can become savage creatures, when given no choice but to do horrible things to survive.

Other than that, Ragnarok (awsome manwa) and Rebirth. Both really good korean works that (I think) outclasses most current manga. I think the japanese entertainment industry has become a bit stifled (too many reptitive works that fit the same formula), and while I still love anime and manga, I think manwa is a refreshing change of pace, and the japanese could learn something from their neibors to the west (at least with manwa ideas).


Oh yeah, Im waiting on Hellsing and FLCL.

Well I gave the Excel Saga manga a shot (first manga I've ever read), but I didn't find it nearly as funny as the anime. I think part of it was that it took longer for everything to happen (for example, the apartment guys getting a civil service job in volume 2). Then again, I've always found animation to be better than comics.
