Did you get The Little Mermaid on video when it first came out? Do you still have the original cover of the video? If you do, than look very closely to the castle to see the tower that's in the middle.
The one that's shape like a *****:eek:.

This thread, you can talk about what you saw, and how shocked you are. Just don't say what it is.

Like the guy that drew it said, towers are pretty phallic to begin with & he was drawing the thing late at night.

The rumor is that it was the work of a disgruntled artist fired before he did work on The Little Mermaid cover. So he added the little phallic thingy and then the tape was released, unbeknownst to Disney.

But that rumor was disproved a long time ago...

*sneezeissuessneeze* It looks more like it's designed after a coral reef to me. Then again, that could just be the sick environmental loving side to me.:rolleyes:

I have the VHS tape from the original release but lost the case with the picture in question when it was loaned out without my knowledge and the box did not get returned. Most likely it was kept by someone who knew how much these boxes were selling for and I lost out..

I find it difficult to believe that the picture was not drawn deliberately (just look at it!) and that others just missed it and released it anyway...

You find it hard to believe that someone accidently made a tower (an already phallic thing) look more phallic due to rushing & working late at night?

Yeah.....I got The Little Mermaid when it first came out in early in the '90s. Um.....yeah.....I noticed that looooong time ago. There was an urban legend that some employee got miffed because he was "let go" (for some reason), and he took his revenge by designing that first video cover with the...uh-hum....obscene gesture. :sweat:

I never owned the original copy of THE LITTLE MERMAID, so it wasn't until I found a friend who did that I saw this hidden image. It's cute that they got away with it and all, but really, how could Disney have not noticed? :p

I repeat--Just look at it! Have you ever seen the image? If so, I don't think anyone that has can objectively say it was due to "rushing" or weariness from "working late at night". Waaaaaay too much detail!

I'll tell ya what, people may not believe that that is a P**** on the top of the tower, but if you watch the movie where Prince Eric is about to marry Ursala, the priest has a little "stiffy" (can i even say stiffy?? ) of his own. Now that was put in as a Disney prank b the animators along with the box cover i beleive. But if you ask me, the way Disney treats there animators, along with the rest of there employees i might add, silly pranks as those are the least that they deserve,

No, that was his leg (you can clearly see this in other camera angles).

You can say it, but it makes it sound like you've been watching too much Beavis and Butthead. (-: What's wrong with the word "erection"? It's the accepted medical term.
