What is this episode of Arjuna that people keep talking about?

Everyone? I thought it was just me :sweat:

SSJ Gohan 64 since you want to know the deal with this episode, read the spoiler box below. It's not huge spoilers, but I know some folks can quite sensitive about it.

Anyway, the episode that was banned from broadcast in Japan was episode 9, "Before Birth" and it was banned for showing childbirth, twice. Showing childbirth, particularly in the detail Arjuna did, is a taboo in Japan.

In the US, the episode's fairly pro-life stance, and Cindy's disturbing speech about what it was like being a psychic in the womb of prostitute, might make it a little too contriversal to air, in addition to the child birth, which might not be too hot at TVY7 anyway. Like I said, it might even be a little out there for Adult Swim, though the block might be underground enough that no one with lawyers and protesters would get word of it and CN could get way with it.

And oh yeah, you've got Kaine, Juna's pregnant sister, smoking, there's a direct reference to Juna's mother's drinking and there's implied endorsement of underage, premarital sex.

And that's the toned down dub.

I was either going to use Kenshin, DBZ, Hamtaro or Teen Titans. I figured they would never air Kenshin that early fearing little kids might wake-up and see it, I have a feeling we all think DBZ is fine being on only once-a-day, Hamtaro doesn't "fit in" and so Teen Titans was the only one I was left with.
