View Full Version : Question regarding banned users
I'm not complaining about anybody, but it's just a question I want to ask:
Is it possible to ban someone from an specific board (like Cafe Toon Zone or Fun & Games) or when you ban someone, he/she is banned from the entire Toonzone forums?

Yes, it's possible. However, I believe that every single time we tried it the person eventually had to be banned completely.

I see. Thanks, Brian.

On really severe bannings, do you report the Banned user to his/her Isp?

If necessary, though I don't recall it ever happening.

I think that once a year we should all get together and vote to ban one member of the Toonzone community for any reason whatsoever. Besides being a wonderful "coming together" activity for the Toonzone community, it would also serve to appease the Internet gods lest they come and smite us.

What's the point of banning someone if no stoning will be done? http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/confused.gif
If a member needs to be banned, the mods are usually on top of it. If you think we are slacking, find the posters errors and use the 'report this post' feature.
Banning someone for whatever reason is unfair, and shouldn't be done.

Banning someone for whatever reason is unfair, and shouldn't be done.I can't believe you would let subjective factors like fairness stand in the way of my amusement.

Before *everyone* gets in a huff about this, let's just remember... EinBebop is not a staff member and in no way represents the opinion of TZ staff... whereas other certain sites may make claims that TZ is unfair in it's banning process, you'll find that it really does take a lot to get banned from here, it's all based in how a person behaves... if you are gonna act like a complete moron and buffoon and belittle another persons opinions without substantiating your own, after 3 warnings, you're more likely to get banned as opposed to someone who makes one mistake is warned and doesn't have it happen again... Despite claims, we do NOT ban "Because we don't like you."

I'm starting to wonder if I'm on some sort of "Ready to be banned" list. It's probably just the crazies talking in my head, but you never know. If I haven't gotten any warnings then I'm in the clear, right?
I'm normally a paranoid person.

i also wonder if i'm on some sort of "ready to be banned" list. or better yet, a "ready to be made a moderator" list :DWe don't have any sort of list for either of those. If you keep getting warned for doing the same thing over and over again then you're in the "ready to be banned" file cabinet. :p
I'm joking btw.

I have a question: When a user is banned, do the mods/admins remove their name from the Members list, and the only way to know if they existed was to search in old threads?
Well, they're off the members list, but you can still see their profiles by searching for them.
