Ok. First off, does CN know about us? By "us" I mean this forum. If not, I propose that someone with whom CN has actually corresponded direct the network to this site and advise them to read our opinions. It could serve as a sort of petition and we all know that petitions can be pretty powerful. Maybe if CN saw for itself what people think about it, the network could improve. It's just a thought, but you have to start somewhere. We have to think about the future of animation and the classics of the art form. We have to think about artistic integrity. Think about the people who feel like children are becoming less smart these days. Man, that was a good Toaster Strudel!
As a whole company, I doubt that CN knows about us, but some of the people who work there do, Jon Cooke was told by the guy who makes up the Acme Hours that he stops by occasionally and reads out opinions. And there is Jerry Beck, who helps CN with some of it's specialty progamming, he comes here occasionally too.

What effect do those little visits have on the programming? Nothing's changed.

Not Necessarily. The standards have gotten noticeably looser, IMHO, since about last november. Just try to tape the late night shows and you'll see.;)
Looney Views (http://looneyviews.terrashare.com)
Unofficially the unofficial site of Looney Tunes reviews since 2000!
They've had a large effect, thev're gone from showing zero Speedy to having him on occasionally, we see more early Merrie Melodies and Happy Harmonies, and we have shows like Bob Clampett, that show things that could never be seen on the compilation shows, plus we're getting the wartime special.... CN has actually improved over the past year, we get more rare (though not all un-PC) cartoons now. Acme Hour used to really stink, until they got that new guy, now we see more 0one-shot cartoons, themes, and even Superman.

So basically for The Bob Clampett show, they can show all his cartoons except Coal Black
and "Tin Pan Alley Cats"

OH:o
But i'm still trying to find out what that cut was on that Bugs Bunny cartoon. I think it was called "Hair Tonic" if i'm not mistaken. They have been showing the cut version of that cartoon for YEARS.
I've never heard of an edit in "Hare Tonic", maybe you have the wrong title in your head, "Hare Tonic" is the cartoon about Bugs tricking Elmer into thinking he has Rabbititus.

oh, well the one i'm thinking about i can't exactly remember the title, but it was the on were Elmer was trying to experiment on Bugs.
Sounds like "Hare Remover", directed by Frank Tashlin, but I think it was released that way.

Hare Remover was Frank Tashlin's last released cartoon for WB.
It seems that the "Director's last" got edited after they left (Clampett's "The Big Snooze," Avery's "Crazy Cruise" and "Cagey Canary" [Finished by Clampett])
Tashlin also was not credited for direction for Nasty Quacks, one of his best.

NASTY QUACKS also has a few pre-release cuts in it, too (like when it cuts to Daffy suddenly saying "...so rudely interrupted").

... and petitons are powerful. Maybe I can suggest CN to run Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats . I really miss that show.

I think CN should show the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon that used to air on ABC. Not that crappy one that's on Toon Disney. I loathe that show!

They definitely need more diversity, especially with the Cartoon Cartoon marathons going on lately. All of the ones I like (Dexter, PPG) I have seen many times, others (Eds, Courage) I don't really want to see.
I wish they had the original Alvin Show, although it is probably more at home on Boomerang. Who doesn't love Clyde Crashcup?
