"We wanted a military line of clothing, we didn't think any one would mind us using the swatstika."
Not extreamly bright.

Cheng added that the designer wanted the clothes to have a military theme and did not realize that the Nazi symbols would be considered offensive.
Are they serious? Oh brother...

Oh, it's an honest mistake. I remember one time I accidentally picked up party napkins with swastikas on them. Talk about a dinner faux pa! Boy, was my face red.
Seriously, though, I'm sure these people knew exactly what they were doing. What better way to grab attention than shocking people? I mean, nobody can really be that stupid, right? Uh....r-right?

The link isn't working for me. Would it be kosher to ask for a lengthier excerpt? So far my opinion is that this is purely a shock tactic to get themselves in the news...or possibly real neo-nazi activity, but I'd have to get a much better sense...

See? See? US gives up Hong Kong and look what happens. The Chinese can't govern themselves. They're too busy making VCR's... Oh wait... oh. I see. No more VCRs, huh? Business went to Japan with DVD's? Oh... I get it now.
I get it!!
The Chinese are the stupid ones! The Japanese are the smart one!!
Alright, fine. Nuff foolin. What happens is the Chinese are so isolated from the rest of the world they don't realize that they're pissing people off. They don't even realize whats cool. See, they probably thought it was just going along with the whole "rebel" thing that kids are in to. They probably even thought it was funny. But, they're Chinese. What do they know about funny? I mean, besides Jackie Chan. That guy USED to know funny. But he forgot after he hit his head in Shanghai Knights. I WOULD say give 'em a break. But they are repeat offenders. So...
lets rip 'em a new one!!!

hehe the Chinese are so naive...
I actually think it's funny, almost a stereotype of themselves.
"Oh, oh this offend you. We so sorry oh honorable one. We not offend great West." :D
(Please take this as a joke. this is not all people in China. I'm sure they're are many well-read, worldly people in China and Hong Kong. The people that run this clothing chain, however, are not among them.)

So these people figure no one would be offended, eh? I wonder if they would have considered people's feelings if the clothing store tried to sell symbols of the Rising Sun.

I think they are asking for a War if that is what they are selling to the Chinese, but I would suggest if they did not do that, already having alot wars going on, this sort of Stunt could spart the flames once again.
