Our Washer at one cycle always madly vibrates & stuff so much that we have to sit on it to keep it from exploding.

You?

And to think I had misgivings when I saw the title of this thread ... oh for shame :o :p

Well apart from my computer screwing around and sending out weird anomalies whenever I'm trying to do something important my washing machine routinely devours white sports socks and transforms them into pretty ribbons, no other socks in any other style or colour will do. Occasionally the drum comes off its suppoorts and it waltzes across the kitchen too.

Actually most of my weird appliances have been made weird by me, I have a history with kettles and toasters ... and mice and toasters but that's another story, just don't ask me to make you any breakfast okay? :p

My DVD player hates me. Seriously. Whenever I want to watch a movie, it freezes in the middle of the movie, but when MOM watches it, it goes through without a hitch.

I have a microwave that's older than me. Big heavey thing that uses a dials to set the time and power.

Our old fridge used to make funny noises whenever we stopped using it for a long period of time.

My old computer made loud noises whenever i used it.

Wow. How do you stop using a fridge for a long period of time?

I also had a VCR that hated me a few years ago. After 11 months it just stopped working and every time I took it to the repair shop they said there was nothing wrong with it. I'd say they were cheating me but it was still under warrenty so the shop was free. Hmm, on second thought maybe they WERE cheating me...

I have a microwave that begins to...microwave things at random. It just starts spoutin' out the radiation whenever it feels like it. We should probably get a new one, considering it's more than 15 years old.

what I meant was we stopped using it for 3 to 4 hours, nothing longer than that. Sorry for the confusion. ;)

One time my microwave turned on all by itself.

I'm not kidding; it really did. I didn't freak out or anything. I just kinda stared at it for a few seconds and then turned it off. It hasn't done anything weird like that since though. That was about a year ago.

EDIT: I didn't read the other replies before I posted. Glad to see I'm not alone. Shnay, our microwaves are haunted.

my family used to have a battery operated back massager that looked like a giant yellow worm... my parents had to put it away in the garage though when the family dog scrunched it's hind quarters on it when we tried to use it tho.. lol.

We also have a big vacuum in the garage that I swear is from the 1970s!
Olive green trim and tank that's pulled around by a sweeper hose! mom used it when I was a little kid and I'd get scared and run out of the room because of the intense noise it made!
