So tonight I got home from work to find out that my old Band teacher has been arrested and charged with god-knows-how-many counts of rape. This is not surprising, as he always hung out with the band kids, but I never really thought it would happen, and it's really, really sad. He was really the nicest guy in the world, and a heck of a band director. What really sucks about this is it's going to affect a lot of people, not the least of which is the band kids. The school had a small band already, but now people are going to panic and pull their kids out of it, or want some kind of investigation, which is a damn shame.

I feel sorry for you Guard, I really do. It is just sad and heartbreaking when someone who know get into some mush trouble. I hope to god something like what you've experianced never happens to me.

Well...you wouldn't want to think of the victims of his crimes, who may be subject to public scrutitiny or ridicule even. Nope not them. They will be fine. But as you said it's "not surprising"

How is this "not" surprising based on him hanging out with "band kids" and why would you have ever thought that it might happen? Last I checked "band kids" were no more prone to be victimized by this type of crime then anyone else.

Clearly his niceness was a front.

God forbid the band suffer due to the trama that this monster has inflicted on many of YOUR ALMA MATER'S classmates.
