I guess I'm the new person around here.

there is a forum for these kind of posts. Cafe Toonzone
It is also better recieved if you don't really draw attention to your new-ness. Just act like you're one of the regular posters, adding to conversations without being obnoxious, and you should do just fine. Welcome.

Maybe there should be some official way to suggest to new members (Like myself :o) that that would be a good idea. I guess I never really knew about Cafe Toonzone myself (Until you mentioned it)

Hello, Shawa. Welcome. :anime:
Yeah, Conekiller is right- most of us "old timers" don't like it when people post newbie threads; it's best to assimilate and pretend like you've been here forever. We're nice people, so we welcome you to jump right in!

...admittedly, I'm also somewhat of a "newbie" here myself, but if this sort of thing bothers people so much, why don't they bring it up in "Feedback & Suggestions" in the "Miscellaneous" section of the forums?

its not so much that it bothers us. it just gives a bad impression of yourself.
I'm just doing my part so that everyone has a good time. Beleive it or not there are still people who have been here for a while that still are viewed upon as "newbies' due to their actions.

Hmmm... ok. I suppose it can get to be irritating if done incessantly. But, I'm afraid you're always going to get the clueless newbie who doesn't know what's what yet (I suppose I still consider myself as part of this category.:o Eh, I'll learn.)

It can be frustrating not knowing the "unspoken rules" of forums like this, which is why my advice to the newbie is: lurk a LOT before you start posting heavily.
Anyway, as has been mentioned, this sort of thread isn't what the Anime Forum is for. Welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay here, but thread closed.
